My video review showing that the tamper is actually too long for the ACME 6001 juicer.

I have the earlier unit so this was a little long...I just put a rubber band from a bunch of broccoli on it and problem solved. (I looked all over for the short one so this is the only choice as they don't make the short ones anymore)

So here is the skinny. Check the model number under the juicer. if it is 6W, that means it was made AFTER the Waring company purchased the Acme juicer, around 1987. These juicers could use the 4" plunger (the one pictured) if your juicer DOESN'T have a model # with a W, then you may have an older model (pre 1987) that uses the 3.5" plunger, which unfortunately doesn't seem to available....hope that helps!!

I thought for sure that since the Acme Juicerator I have is a Model 6001, that this would fit. Apparently, there is a difference between the Acme Juicerator made in the 1960's and the ones being made now as the plunger fits in every way except it is 11/16ths of an inch too long. Since this is the only plunger available new, I will just glue a couple of spacers at the top to keep the plunger from going too far into the juicer and grinding the end off. The original that came with the juicer accidentally got put down the garbage disposal

Simple product - worked as advertised. Make sure that you read the details and that this is the correct length for your model (you don't want it to long, otherwise the pusher will hit the blade and you could eat plastic!

I am glad you contacted me. I need to return the Plunger/Pusher of my ACME juicer. The top came off and I already trough away the old one I had since I bought my juicer in 1978. I am totally disappointed. Help me to find a new one please. Thanks Irma

I was disappointed with this replacement plunger because it got destroyed when I used it. The ACME warning said this replacement was longer than the original plunger for the model I was using. The implication was that it would stick up and not fit snug... No big deal for me, but what it didn't say was that when used with the juicer it would grind plastic into my juice! I had to throw it away. And this was the replacement pusher for my model.....

Brought it for my father who had the juicer, but not the plunger. The minute I unwrapped the plunger he began trying it out on the juicer. It is wonderful. He was so excited he went out and brought over 20 pounds of raw carrots and juiced everyone of them with the plunger.
