I you are like me you really wonder at why so many tire levers are made of a plastic that snaps when faced with a tough wire
bead or even a kevlar bead on a steep rim. These suckers will not break, have a gentle slope to them and get the job done!
They are reasonably priced as well which is a big plus.

Good solid steel levers like I had when I was a kid. Being steel you have to be a little careful not to scratch the edge of the rim, but I'll live with that rather than non-scratch plastic levers which break.

Another good thing, you get three of them. A lot of tire levers are sold in sets of two. Dunno about anyone else but I need three to get a tire off.

These tire levers are approximately 5.75 inches long across the imaginary hypotenuse from end to end, and they easily fit in my Topeak Aero Wedge Pack with Velcro (Large). They are zinc-plated steel. Unlike many of the comments left concerning broken plastic tire levers, I'm confident I will do significant damage to my tires and/or rims long before I ever bend or break these steel levers. Metal-on-metal contact could cause some scratching, but I easily reduce the risk by putting something between the rim and the lever while prying. No regrets.

Update: I had my first flat on a 700x38c tire. I used two to get the tire off. The first one easily pryed the tire off and attached to a spoke to hold it in place. By being careful, I was sure I didn't pinch the tube and the rounded lever end helped with that. I used the second one to run around the bead and pull the rest of the tire off. I did scratch my rims in a couple places where I wasn't careful. I happily trade that risk (I can use padding in the future) for avoiding lever breakage. As I noted earlier, these tire levers are so strong that I would do significant damage to the rim before getting close to bending the levers. It only took one lever to get the bead back on.

I bought these after snapping my plastic ones like twigs. They work great.

Wrap them in electrical tape and put the tape between the rim and the tool when you need them. Seems to prevent scratches.

Metal is better than plastic they work grate I'm glad I purchased them. They are thinner and slightly longer than the plastic ones but if your not careful they will scratch wheels.

They're steel so they're very strong so that's a good thing. However, you run the risk of scratching chrome or biting into aluminum rims. I think this is because of the shape or the way they're finished, but it's also easy to puncture good tubes with these levers. They are also hard to move around the rim once you get them under the tire. I'd suggest Pedro's plastic levers which are plenty strong and just worlds easier to use.

Nice tools, steel is much better than plastic (I've broken dozens of plastic ones). My only complaint is with the lack of a coating to protect the rims. I have successfully managed this issue in 3 ways: 1) use a piece of cereal box cardboard between the rim and the tool. 2) wrap the end of the tool with duct tape, 3) dip the end in a rubberized coating. Of these, #3 is the best option, but it would be nice if the tools came from the factory already coated. Including 3 rather than 2 in the set is a nice touch, however, as my road bike has tough tires that sometimes take 3 to get started. I always carry these and a spare inner tube on long bike trips.

Functional tire levers with nice rounded corners. Most importantly (unlike plastic ones) they don't snap when you're trying to swap a punctured tube 20 miles from home.
