This card is a GH5 fail waiting to happen when you can't afford it! ADATA's 256 GB card looks and feels fine when you first put it into the camera and hit record. After 100 or so photos and several videos (totaling about 100.5 GB of storage) weird things start to happen, like saved photos you can't go back and view - or the dreaded "recording was cancelled due to the limitation of the writing speed card" message. Because this speed slowdown happens every 100.5 GB through the 256GB card, it appears to be a design flaw in the product rather than a one time incident. ADATA can't make this design profitably if they test 100% of the cards 100% of the time.
The only way to test a new card is format and record onto 100% of the media. I've also tested the 256GB card with drive speed test software on my laptop which has a UHS-II sd slot; it clearly shows periods of time where the write speed slows down. If ADATA fixes the problem, I'll re-evaluate it on the GH5, but until then the safe thing to do is look elsewhere for V90 class media.
