On to the more pertinent details.
We already have the three corner addition/subtraction flashcards by Trend. They are a very nice concept and really help the kids understand the inverse relation between addition and subtraction. That said, flashcards can be a little bit bulky when you're doing sets. The Math Gear format is just so much easier to work with. These will also travel easier without the worry that you will be losing one of the flashcards!
I also like how the Math Gear set up helps students understand the adding on concept. When you start out you can allow the students to add in order (3+1, 3+2, 3+3, and so on). Once they've grasped the concept you can start mixing up the order.
This is one of the most efficient and effective one-on-one math tools we've purchased.
Cons: For us, none.

Love this. So easy for my son to use and he loves getting the answers right. Easy to use and great to throw in my bag to do with him when we are bored. Learning a lot from this.Published on August 31, 2011 by Crumbs
I bought all four of these. I keep them in the car for the kids. A fun way to review math facts.Published on December 29, 2010 by KrisG
