Beware Seller: BrainyDeal

Battery arrived on time; but unfortunately was the wrong one and did not fit my computer. Seems someone in "Quality Control" affixed TWO labels on the outside packaging. One had the part number of the battery that was inside (5200 mah); the other label was for the part that I had ordered (4400 mah). Unfortunately for me, the stock clerk placed the box on the shelf with the WRONG part number showing; and the picker picked up what he/she thought I had ordered according to the extraneous label. It took several weeks, many emails with photos attached showing both labels, plus I had to furnish the seller with the RMA UPS Tracking number before my refund was granted, ostensibly because they could not come up with it in their records. I will not buy from this seller (BrainyDeal) again. Seller left it up to me to find a suitable replacement. That's Customer Service? When is Amazon going to allow a "Zero Stars" Ratings? This one deserves it.

Very Satisfactory Replacement Battery for the ThinkPad X61

The original battery for my ThinkPad X61 started to go bad about a year ago and I needed to replace it for an upcoming business trip. The OEM price for a replacement battery is quite high, so I started to look around for a less expensive alternative. I was quite confused, to say the least. I finally decided to give this product a try, and am very glad I did. It works as well as my original Lenovo battery ever did, was shipped quickly and securely packaged. It fits the computer exactly the same as the OEM battery. Once installed and after the laptop was turned on, a message popped up, warning about the dangers of using a non-OEM battery. I was able to easily deactivate the warning and it never appeared again. Curious about the battery, I checked the "Power Manager" feature in the X61's toolkit, which showed the manufacturer of this battery to be Sanyo -- the same company that made the battery that shipped originally with the computer. I'm very happy with this purchase, and when the time comes I will buy another battery from this seller for sure.

Works as expected

Bought this to bring some life back in to an x61s that we use for troubleshooting and as part of our crash cart at work. I get a solid 3 hours out of it, seems to be working like the battery that came with the laptop. For the price compared to the OEM you can't go wrong. Just make sure that you double check the part numbers, Lenovo is awful about making batteries that look the same but are about 1/16th of an inch different so they don't fit.

Worked fine out of the box

Came a day or two ahead of what was expected.. worked right out of the box in my X61.

I own a few Lenovo series (x31, x61, x220t, t420) so this was a plus to find a good battery provider since laptop batteries do eventually die.

Key Point - This version DOES fit in the ultrabase docking station - which was an important factor because in the fine print, a lot posted will not.

Way more reasonable price than the OEM version

Not so great

The battery doesn't last longer than about 2 hours. I have tried the discharge method suggested by the company and it still does not last. I have used the battery with Windows 7 and Ubuntu 12.10 x64. I might try to return the item for a replacement since the battery comes with a 1 year warranty. Overall not a great experience with this product.
