Been using sennheiser hd25iis religiously for over a decade for live dj gigs and just messing around mixing Records and such . While these are a great legendary and commonly used headphone , I’m surprised the TMA-2 s haven’t gained more popularity .. I’ve seen them before but never paid much mind to them ,I was presented them by a fellow dj friend and instantly ordered a pair .. in my opinion they are like a suped up version of the sennheiser hd25iis , way more comfy , atleast equal or better sound cancellation , louder , and better means of modular capabilities . 5/5 stars . Bomb don’t think twice .

I bought these for DJing and they did not disappoint. They are snug and comfy but they don’t pull out my wild hair when I have to frequently take them on & off during a DJ set. The sound quality is excellent. And my favorite part is that they are modular so replacing parts is a cinch. They are nice and sturdy which is ideal for taking them to gigs. My old headphones were much more expensive but became trashed after a few years and the sound quality was not nearly as good. Only downsides are that they don’t articulate & that you have to buy the case separately - I recommend the hardshell case. Other than that, I love these headphones.

I really wanted to like these. The design is beautiful. Luscious curves. Pleasant silky finish. Good quality materials. Really sturdy and you can tell great effort went in to the overall presentation.

But im perplexed of how bad the sound was. It shaves off a lot of the high frequencies making it sound as if there was a thick cloth between your ears and the drivers. muffled and muddy.

I heard about the break in period so I left it for 24 hours on low volume. Still bad. And after 48 hours it didn't change perceivably. For starters this should be done in the factory. It makes me think its a gimmick to make the consumer think the bad sound is his fault.

I have an HD-25 headset and while they are not as stylish, I wouldn't consider these even in the same league sound wise.

È già il secondo paio che acquisto. Per me rimangono una tra le migliori cuffie da dj.
Se devo cercare dei difetti posso dire che se la si acquista perché è possibile reperire i ricambi separatamente, fate male. Il singolo ricambio è molto caro, conviene prendere un secondo paio ed eventualmente tanere le parti buone del primo paio come ricambi.
Il materiale è di ottima qualità, anche al tatto non da fastidio ma bisogna fare attenzione alle sue superfici opache. Infatti anche usandole con molta attenzione dopo alcuni anni iniziano a lasciarsi andare diventando tutte appiccicose. La causa principale è l'umidità e il calore, due cose che nei club o nelle feste estive all'aperto non mancano mai. Se volete evitare questo acquistate cuffie di altre marche con superfici lucide.
Una differenza che ho notato tra la prima cuffia acquistata nel 2017 e la seconda nel 2022 e che nella prima tutti i jack si avvitavano e incastravano nel padiglioni mentre, nella seconda, solo il jack del cavo lungo ha la possibilità di incastrarsi mentre i due dell'archetto no.
La cuffia in se è comoda, alcune volte riesente del fatto che i padiglioni non ruotano, quindi quando la si usa appesa al collo e solo con un padiglio, risulta un pò scomodo l'utilizzo oltre a dare la sensazione di rompere il padiglio o l'archetto anche se in realtà è tutto molto resistente. Personalmente però preferisco dei padiglini non snodabili come questi. Quelli snodabili sono più fragile e speso si perde secondi a trovare la posizione giusta quando si indossa la cuffia.
A livello audio sono una cosa spaziale. Enfatizza molto le basse a scapito dei medi e degli alti infatti nei primi utilizzi percepirete un suono ovattato, forse vi sembrerà non corretto. Ma una volta che vi siete fatti l'orecchio, la sensibilità sui medi e gli alti torna ma, con in più l'enfatizzazione delle basse che è davvero un valore aggiunto per i passaggi a tempo. L'insonorizzazione dai suo esterni è quasi totale.
Per me nonostante i difetti, più che trascurabili, rimangono le mie cuffie preferite. Inoltre ha un buon rapporto qualità prezzo considerando che sono delle cuffie professionali.

POOR MANUFACTURING DESIGN AND UNSUITABLE FOR DJ'S

Overall the sound quality is ok however there is a MAJOR DESIGN FAULT with the aiaiai headphones.
The design fault is the headphone jack itself does not fully fit in to any headphone socket on a laptop, phone or even a DJ controller. When you try to insert the headphone jack in to any headphone socket the jack does not fully lock in place and this causes only part of the sound coming from from your music sources to be heard, the only solution is to tape the headphone jack in the socket or hold it in place with firm pressure.
The headphone jacks are not manufactured as they should be to lock in place like any other pair of headphones.

I always thought it was my headphone socket on my laptop but only just discovered that I have the problem only with the aiaiai headphones on any music source and all my other cheaper headphones work flawlessly and thr headphone jacks fully lock in place with no loss in sound.

Tried emailing aiaiai for an exchange but no reply and cant even get through to Amazon customer service to exchange to replace the headphones!

I am also a Dj so now have to rely on my sennheiser set which i have used for years to do the job and I have only owned my aiaiai headphones for a few months and cant use them due to them being defective!

Can’t believe people actually compare these to HD25’s 🤷🏻‍♂️. They are too bass heavy the mids aren’t as clear . They aren’t as comfy either. Had to return them.
I’ve had my main HD25’s for 25+ years they have been all over the world, sat on and had record bags on top of them but they still blow these out the water in every aspect in my opinion.
I do have the Aiaiai move 2 wireless headphones for general use and these I also love.
If you want to Dj you can’t beat the HD25’s imo (I’ve tried loads of other headphones).

I wish I could have liked the Aiaiai TMA-2, but sadly beyond their wonderful design and aesthetic these headphones leave a lot to answer for. With regards to the DJ Preset, the sound quality is poor at best, with the mids being absolutely muddy and the highs are almost a curve ball with a lot of the sonics getting lost under and over the extremely punchy bass. Monitoring headphones, these are not. Have returned, and come to my senses and ordered a pair of HD 25's.

Bought this with Amazon Warehouse The cable broke started to act up after a couple of days then stopped completely, probably factory issues, but the amazing team at Amazon sent me another cable and the headphones are great. Only thing that I would suggest is that if you wear glasses and you want to wear them for casual listening I would suggest upgrading the ear pads to a bigger version
