AIMS Power has a wide variety of pure sine inverters; this unit is the 600 watt pure sine inverter. It's a great mid-sized inverter. Many people use this inverter in their RV to power a TV and satellite box or DVD player. You can also use this inverter to power a CPAP which sometimes require a pure sine inverter. This unit is great for many other applications such as for charging your laptop, IPad, smartphone, IPhone, MacBook, camera or any other handheld electronic device. This inverter has dual AC outlets and a USB port.

Its worth the extra $$$ for a pure sine wave type. Ive used this to fix my camper shell while on the road. its super compact; fits snug in the engine bay. Would recommend getting an 8ft extension cord with it.
totally worth the investment

I am reviewing them all together because I purchased them and used them all for the same project.
I needed away to obtain a line of sight connection to the local ISP provider where I live on a Caribbean island. To make this possible I was going to have to build a solar powered wireless access point on the hill about 250 yards from the house. I used all the above referenced items along with two golf cart batteries. This project was installed about 7 months ago and is still working. I have not had any problems with any of the above referenced products so I am giving them all five stars.
With just my wife and I home we have internet access whenever we need it. When one of my adult children stays over we loose the internet (power) around 2:00 – 3:00am in the morning and do not build up a sufficient power supply until about 3 hours after sunrise. This is most likely due to the constant streaming on internet content requiring more power. Of course this does change according to the weather if we have a lot of cloud cover the usage is diminished, but it is solar power after all so that is to be expected.
Purchased this because I wanted the best / cleanest quality power for expensive portable electronics (laptop, smartphone, ipad). The touch sensitive screen on one, and track pad on the other, became very jumpy / jittery while running off the AIMS, to the extent that they were unusable. I supposed one could charge the device while it was powered down, then unplug and run it, however the apparent poor quality of the power would make me leery of using this inverter in any case - device powered on or off.
Also, the QC during this device's manufacture wasn't on the ball. The cutout in the case doesn't line up with the USB socket, making it very difficult to use.
In comparison, I brought the non-sine wave coffee-cup inverter from PowerLine, and, despite the fact that it is supposed to put out lower quality non-sine wave AC, I have experienced none of the problems with touch screen / track pad control that I did with the AIMS.
