Powerful: At 1/6 Horsepower this unit delivers more Air Volume (CFM) and Air Pressure (PSI) than any airbrush demands. Portable: Light-Weight, Compact and are Easy to Carry with the Built in Handle. Precise Air Adjustment: True Diaphram Pressure Regulator with Gauge and Water Trap Filter that provides precise adjustment of airflow and will ensure clean, dry air. Automatic On/Off Shutoff: Preset for automatic turn off when air tank reaches 60 PSI. Preset for automatic turn on when air tank pressure is below 35 PSI. This enables a longer compressor life from less motor wear and heat-related moisture. Constant Pressure and Zero Pulsation: Air is drawn from the large air storage tank providing you a constant regulated pressure. There's zero pulsation because air is drawn from the tank which eliminates any pulsation effect from the pistons. "Air-On-Demand": Designed to work only when you do, produces air on demand at the your regulated pressure. Thermally Protected: Automatically turns itself off if the unit becomes over heated. Maintenance Free: Oil-less Piston Motor Low Noise: Very Quiet Operation, only 59 db. Full 2-Year Warranty, so you can be assured of Quality and Reliability.

NEWER VERSION (July 2015):
The regulator is already installed, no more headaches with plumbing & fittings. The tank is made longer, .5L larger. It’s now 3.5L with the regulator mounted to the top of the tank, keeping overall length about the same. The regulator is the same but the air gauge is now 100 PSI for more precise control. The pump motor head is redesigned, now with 7 radiator fins and a larger sensor fitting. I noticed all fittings were treated with a red thread locker compound. This compressor seems a bit louder than the older version, but appeared to produce air pressure faster. The Owner’s Manual was also updated, said compressor runs to 60 PSI then shuts off, comes on automatically when drops below 30 PSI. This pressure valve is replaceable if other settings are needed. See pics for more comparisons.
Unfortunately, the side mounted (red) air release valve did not work. This fitting was welded crooked. There’s always the bottom drain fitting to release air. Also, there was an air leak with the tube from motor head to tank (see pics).
You must install the regulator yourself. The tip on the regulator that your airhose connects to is a 1/8" BSP (or BSPP) fitting with parallel threads. This stands for British Standard Pipe. It is not a tapered thread (BSPT). In the U.S. we use NPT (National Pipe Thread) standards which are all tapered threads for high pressure pipe fittings. As an example, to make a Paasche air hose work with this compressor you will need: 1/8" BSP Female to 1/4" NPT Male adapter.
Screwing the regulator on to the tank will be a very loose fitting. You won’t find an adapter as this was just a bad run of machining. There are two solutions. 1) Use the enclosed Teflon tape and wrap the male end with at least 20+ rotations. Test fit the regulator before tape. It might end upside down when tightened so you need a spacer. Go to your local (three letter) hardware store and pick up a M12 metric flat washer (No. MW-YG) or a 1” ID x 1.5” OD, 18 Ga. Machine Bushing (No. 2811). Option 2) Apply Marine Grade epoxy heavily to the threads, tighten down the regulator. It’s top heavy, support it to stay upright. You won’t need any spacer. Let it set overnight.
NO AIR LEAKS:
There are roughly 12 fittings/valve seats where air could leak. To prevent leakage I applied Marine Grade epoxy to all fittings (except regulator bowl). Don’t remove fittings, just apply externally with a toothpick or similar. Use a high temp epoxy for motor head fittings. See pictures.
That said, I am really surprised by how quiet it is. I was expecting it to be as loud as my fish tank compressor, but it is not even close. The volume is about that of a casual conversation. I read some reviews that mentioned air leaks, but mine is sealed very well. Also, I have read several reviews that commented on not being able to center the regulator and water trap properly, but mine is perfectly centered.
It took about a minute for the tank to fill, and it cut off around 60 psi. It came on again when the pressure dropped to around 40 psi. In practical terms, this is is probably around 15 seconds of spray-time, and it doesn't seem to fill while spraying, so if you are doing more than 15 second bursts of painting, you can expect that this will run constantly. Not a big deal for me because it is quiet.
So far so good. I will update this review if I find any real pluses or minuses to this unit.
