In pubg I was able to give actual directions to stuff like jeeps vs just saying it's northish.
note: I tried these without a amp at first and they just sounded just ok but they seem to really need a amp to sound great. I personally use a schiit stack (magni 2 and modi 2).
In closing, when storing these DO NOT hang them by the leather headband as that will wear out the headband mechanism much faster. Do it by the orange bars or keep it in a headphone case. I use this case as pretty much any headset will fit and its got foam on both sides... https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01HSE76CA/ref=yo_ii_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Edit: Just in case anyone asks, mine were made in Slovakia (EU).
I got these when they were priced at $299 which is way cheaper than I could find anywhere else by ~$100 at least. I'm curious though because it had a photocopied piece of paper with a warning about lead (Pb, see pic) in Chinese/English which doesn't make sense to me if they are designed in Austria and manufactured in Slovakia. Can anyone else confirm the paper was in their box too? The headphones themselves are top notch and there is no noticeable cosmetic problem. Just seems bizarre.
Oh and the orange color is not as glossy or bright as the picture reflects. I thought it was somewhere between the color of an orange extension cord (same matte texture) and the featured picture. More of a nonmetallic copper or dark peach color.
Very comfortable to wear, stays on head, does not wobble.
Sound is plain, bass is okay, the open back design is good for orchestra, excels at soprano voice.
Comparing to the SE846, the 846 is a bit too intense on the ears and sometimes it hurts, of course the sound is beyond the akg712, as the 846 runs around 800$.
I like these headphones, they are good looking, well built, comfortable and sound okay. They won’t make me cry like some of the very high end systems but there are enough sound to touch my heart.

you will need an amp. I use them with schiit magni2 on high gain.
