Should have bought the AKG K450
on September 2, 2013
Sound quality is good.
Comfort is good.
Detachable cables is good.
Compact/folding design is good.
Cable with no microphone is way too short.
Microphone is a pain to use - it picks up huge amounts of noise from the cable but otherwise isn't unusually sensitive to my voice. Any slight rubbing of the cable or microphone produces significant scratching which is audible to both myself and the person on the other end. For example, if I am laying down and tilt my head, the cable dragging across my shirt produces a huge amount of noise. It's so sensitive to this that it is very hard to avoid. Entirely impossible to use when walking around.
Considering the only difference between these headphones and the K450 is the appearance and the addition of the microphone, which I find fairly useless, I would have been better off to buy the K450 for a lower price.
