The problem now, of course, is getting a suitable desk (I'm thinking wheelie desk) that fits my position in the chair.
The chair rolls very well across my floor.
Honestly, within the first few hours of using the chair, I was desperately wanting an attached, levered footrest. When they make an add-on or start selling these with an attached footrest I'll give this product a five star rating.
Perhaps I'm being unfair here but I use this in my living room with my laptop desk and tv/audio/gaming setup. I often run movies or YouTube videos from my laptop to the big screen tv. The chair is excellent. I'm telling you, that footrest is the missing cherry on top. And I want it, badly so that I can fully recline and enjoy my electronic media.
First and foremost, I've used the same office chair for close to 18 years. It's been my reference ever since. While it was still in excellent condition, I thought I would upgrade.
I've received the box by mail and it is huge and bulky but considering the size of the chair, it is not suprising.
Some assembly was required and it was pretty straighforward. A few areas where a little tight to align but it worked. The instructions are very limited and I would have expected a little more but it was fairly straightforward to figure out what needed to be done. Note that they are calling for a two persons job, I was able to do it by myself but that is part of the reason it made it a little more difficult.
The installation of the "pillows" have no instructions what so ever so at the end, it is not clear where one of the pieces of plastic provided is supposed to go. I have improvised a way to use them that seems to work but I'm still wondering where they are supposed to be placed. For the price of the chair, I would have expected a more complete documentation.
For the use of the chair, the wheels are very smooth and silent. If I push on my legs a little too much, I will go through the entire room and I have to use my legs to slow down the chair. It would not stop by itself on a short distance...
The minimal height of the chair is a little too high for me. I could have use an extra inch for the chair to go down. I don't have any measurement for the moment but could get them if requested. For reference, I'm 5'11" and about 185#. I've tried the lower model and my legs were touching the sides too much to the point of making it uncomfortable.
For seating, you have to be fully seated in the chair, you cannot seat on the edge of the chair or it will tip and it's an heavy chair on very smooth casters so it will fly without any chance to recover it! Believe me I made the experience and was afraid that I would have damaged it. I now pay more attention at any tipping signs.
The articulation, I'm used to my office chair to have the entire seat rocking, this chair will not rock. You can change the inclination of the back rest to a near flat position but cannot rock the entire seat assembly. Also the armrest, swing back and forth and can rotate but will not slide sideways. This is ok with me but since it is a wider chair, it can be an issue for some.
Cushioning: The foam used is hard. This is not a fluffly chair that will engulf you. It's meant to be used for longer period and keep you awake, not put you to sleep. The stiffer foam achieves that yet remain comfortable.
Utilisation: I'm very happy with the chair and I'm using it about 4 to 5 hours everyday. It is comfortable and I would buy it again. The seat is wide enough that I can actually seat with my legs and feet on the seat.
The limitations mentioned before are more nitpick overall.
