Top customer reviews
It's a great size and for people who don't want to devote a lot of space for a full kitchen set it serves its purpose. As others have mentioned, the photo is misleading in including the cooking items but we ordered separately knowing they didn't come with the cook top.
Bottom line: We wanted to love it but the quality issue necessitated two returns and we expect more for the price (and what you get). We went with a small Little Tykes kitchen instead.
upon opening it one of the knobs was not secure so i just glued it and as a dork glued it too well so that its not turning, but i can fix that.
Its cute, and really portable and stow able which is what i was looking for because we have a limited space and do not want some large toy kitchen taking up so much space and the mess cleans up fast, she plays with it probably as much as a large one anyway. we make refrigerators out of cardboard boxes and play with a metal pot set i bought from Ikea, although i think some metal ones are available here also, i love the hanging area for stuff like pots pans and mitts and a turn of a knob and that fold and stows away flat.
it is so portable we take it into the kitchen, plop it on a table, ottoman, chest, bed, coffee table and play with it in other places which you cant do that with other large sets,
the picture shows how the products look and are sold separately, i think most people know that and the pictures aren't trying to be deceptive, but just know you may want to get the mitts pots pans, food and utensils if you like.
its so much more fun than a big useless one that will be outgrown in a year or two anyway.
you'll love it!!!
its cute and portable and just the right size for us, and who doesn't love the all wood components?, at least it wont be around for 900 years and land up in some future anthropological museum in 500 years where they dug it up of a giant landfill
First the knobs and clock hands fell off, then the back and red bar came apart. It is held together by small pegs that are NOT glued in place, and do not hold. Since this is for my grandkids, and won't be used much, I will attempt to glue it back together. If you buy this, I recommend that you glue it (with wood glue) BEFORE the kids play with it.
(1)The red screws on the side that allow the back to slide closed aren't very secure. 2-YO had them off about 20 minutes after this came out of the package.
(2) It would be a nice feature if you could somehow lock the back in position. My toddler tried to pick up the set and move it, and was surprised that the pieces started moving. She almost dropped it on her foot.
Again, basically happy with the purchase, but it would take a couple tweaks to make this toy an A-plus.
