1) this chair has some meshing on the seat as well as the back, while the Crazy Creek has meshing only on the back -- the advantage is better ventilation, at least theoretically, while the disadvantage might be that the seat could be less sturdy, more easily ripped, although the dark meshing on this chair seems somewhat heftier than the white meshing on the Crazy Creek chair.
2) the carry bag is better than the Crazy Creek bag - it's made of a sturdier canvas, and the strap is adjustable.
3) This chair has a limited lifetime warranty, while the Crazy Creek has a 5-year limited warranty.
I own 2 of the full height chairs of this brand/style. They are the most comfortable chairs I own! Far more comfortable than my recliner, my couch, or my office chair. I have owned the full sized chairs about 10 - 12 years. One of these full height chairs is finally starting to rip, but they get heavy use! (Sorry abou the pun! Not really! lol! My husband is over 200# and I am over 250# and these chairs don't even notice!)
These concert ground chairs are accepted anywhere where you are allowed to have chairs that allow you to not sit directly on the ground. They are THE MOST COMFORTABLE ground chairs EVER!!! Everyone who sits in them wants to steal them from me, but I closely guard them!!! (I seriously do, as I have tried many other low chairs and all of them are painful for me to sit in...
Another nice thing about these low concert chairs is that, due to the way the fabric is attached, there are 3 seating positions: Upright, Relaxed, and Reclined. All 3 positions are very comfortable. In fact, the most common sight of these chairs at camp is with someone in them reclined asleep! (I have finally put my foot down and refused to set them up at camp because I just don't have the heart to kick out the sleepers so I can take the chair to one of the stages to watch a show!)
These chairs also easily fold up quite small and have a quiver case you can sling over your back for easy carrying, and they are light weight.
By the way, my husband and I both have tons of back problems, and our problems typically mean that we aren't comfortable in the same chairs. With these chairs that isn't a problem. We both find them super comfortable.
The only negative thing I can say about these chairs is that they are hard to get out of. You have to roll sideways off them, like you are rolling out of bed. All other attempts are worth videoing for blackmail as they MUST be hilarious to watch the contortions and flopping around as you attempt one method after another... Of course, this can be a problem if you are in the middle of a crowded row, as you will have to get super friendly with one of your neighbors as you roll into their lap to try and get out of this chair. However, for how comfortable the chair is when you are in them, and for what percentage of the time you spend comfortably sitting in them versus the short amount of time spent in your neighbor's lap... Seems worth it to me! Plus, imagine how many people you will get to become super familiar with! You might even decide to get up and down a lot just to get extra opportunities to roll on your neighbors!!! ;-)
It's a small chair. It's wide sure but it sits VERY low. Be prepared.
The full BS review:
I bring this chair everywhere. At my kids soccer games it let's me sit back and just relax, or nap depending on how well it's going.
At family functions is where it shines. It sits so low to the ground people will actually bring me food and beer due to how difficult it looks like it would be to get out of. Trash can too far? I'll just set this bottle here and within 2 minutes someone walks by and snatches it up!
I have seriously tested this with regular chairs since getting this and its all the chair.
If you wanna look awesome, be lazy, and comfortable get this.
We originally bought them for outdoor concerts (which have max height limitations for chairs), and it worked well for that. They're also great for a simple tailgating setup if you're not bringing a table. They're low enough to the ground that it's comfortable to set your drink and food on the ground next to you.
A surprising additional use we've found for them is at home in the man cave! We have a decent home theater setup, however the room is only deep enough (~12 ft) for a wide couch and a coffee table. When we invite people over for movies, we previously limited it to 4 people total since that was the capacity for comfortable viewing positions. But now when we want to host a movie night, we just push the coffee table out of the way, and set up a row of 4 of these camp chairs in front of the couch. Our theater capacity doubled to 8! They're short enough that they don't block the view of those sitting on the couch, and comfortable enough to enjoy watching a 3+ hr flick. Our extended family recently enjoyed watching Frozen at our place. Now the girls won't stop singing that stupid snowman song.
So go ahead and order a set of these chairs, call some buddies over, and bring out the popcorn. Definitely recommend this product!
