This could definitely cause major damage, the manufacturer should definitely up their liability coverage, and I strongly suggest no one purchase this item.
I'll be fair and start with the good... the fork itself is well made and so is the metal collar near the fork itself. But, the cheap plastic handle snapped after a few months of very light work. It was fastened by only 2 small weak nails! If I had tortured this tool I would have given it the benefit of the doubt. But I was barely putting any load on this thing when it fell apart. I would NOT recommend you buy this tool. Not even for very light work.
I'm paving my driveway with coarse mulch. Shovels won't go in, raking takes forever and ever and ever. Borrowed one of these off a neighbor, worked like magic and I had to have one of my own.
Went with True Temper because that's been a reliable brand for many years.
This is a very heavy duty fork. Handle is the perfect length for me, I'm like 5'11". Shorter people might prefer a bit less handle length.
If you're moving mulch, you need this. Cannot recommend enough.
garden soil, most anything but rocks or clay you can't beat this fork. Strong enough for heavy duty work.
