In the food processing industry, protection from cross-contamination is important—for the worker, the product, the customer and, ultimately, for the business. AMMEX Glove works HD Royal Blue Nitrile Powder Free Industrial Gloves help to cover all those bases. What really sets these premium-quality disposable gloves apart, however, is their raised diamond texture. Our most aggressive, with 60 percent more surface area than standard nitrile gloves, it allows more liquids to pass through channels—so even when the gloves are wet, you have all the gripping power you need. Another bonus: It creates a reverse texture inside to help air circulate, which keeps your hands drier than other gloves. This innovative texture has raised standards across the disposable glove industry, but there’s a lot more to AMMEX Glove works HD Royal Blue Nitrile Powder Free Industrial Gloves than their grip. They are made from component materials that comply with FDA regulations for food contact, designed and manufactured to deliver the best protection. The high-visibility royal blue color really stands out, an important feature in food processing. If a tiny bit of glove becomes detached, you want to find it before it ends up in the food—of particular concern when filleting fish. These 6-mil gloves are durable and resistant to punctures, tears, rips, and abrasions—three times more than latex or vinyl. They stand up to the rigors of a food production line while providing excellent barrier protection against grease, cleaning solutions, and a long list of specialty chemicals, yet they maintain a high degree of dexterity and tactile sensitivity. Work longer with the confidence that you are safer. AMMEX Glove works HD Royal Blue Nitrile Powder Free Industrial Gloves are also a perfect fit in uses from plumbing to paint shop, automotive to manufacturing, janitorial to industrial, as well as a cost-effective alternative to canning gloves for many applications.
Top customer reviews
Though you will find them in a number of different colors, color in nitrile gloves is not an indicator of specifications or recommended application. It's a matter of esthetic preference, improving visibility, monitoring compliance in infection control or other practical considerations. All else being equal, the only significant thing to consider is thickness in mils. [Note that you should still be very careful about choosing the right type of gloves for use around solvents and other toxic chemicals.]
At 6 mil thickness, these gloves are very good for auto and heavier home maintenance, but overkill for lighter chores. Overall, the highest quality and most durable gloves I've found are the Kimberly-Clark KC500 purple nitrile. These Gloveworks 6 mil gloves are technically equivalent but, purely subjectively, just don't feel quite as robust. However, I can't honestly say that there have been any failures with them in similar tasks, so I wouldn't put too much weight on that impression.
I do not have particularly large hands. The finger length in the Extra Large size feels to me more in line with a Large and will likely be moderately snug for those who normally wear XL.
These gloves have been very good for most jobs, have good puncture resistance, hold up to abrasion and are economical. . I've yet to find any manufacturing defects among among any of them.
What I particularly like is the completely textured surface. I find it improves grip and makes removal slightly easier than comparable smooth surfaced nitrile gloves. I'm not entirely convinced that this feature reduces sweating, as claimed. That is, however, very dependent upon a number of variables
I think these gloves are a good overall choice and would suggest that, given the similarities among various such products, price per unit is a reasonable factor when choosing which to purchase.
First, not being latex I don't have to worry about skin irritation from either the latex rubber or the (normally) accompanying powder. Second, the XL size is generous (even for XL) meaning getting on the gloves and taking them off isn't annoying. And third, the raised diamond pattern really helps with grip; it's no gimmick.
I can see dozens of uses for these gloves: auto oil changes, when I'm using stuff I'd rather not like against my skin (gas fill-ups of the lawn mower, solvents, etc.), and cleaning up around the house. But primarily (for us, anyway), they're for use when dumping the black and gray water tanks of our camper (here is where the raised diamond pattern helps/works: in grabbing with a better grip to separate the the sewer hose from the hose-end elbow, etc.).
I will certainly be reordering these down the road; at $15.85 Amazon price at the time of this review (for a 100 count box) I find the price very reasonable.
5 stars. Worth your look and strong consideration.
P.S. As an aside, after checking in with various sites on the web nitrile gloves can apparently be successfully recycled. So please check in your area where you can dispose of them into the recycling ecosphere rather than throwing them directly away into the trash....
Additionally, these are very robust gloves. I can use these two to three times as long as I could the previous brands I tried. So even though these are a bit more expensive per 100 gloves they are more reasonable in the long run. Next time I get these I'm getting the box of 1000, which will be even more reasonable. The gloves also have the highest wrist protection of any glove I've tried. I used to hate getting paint around my wrists while working and that is no longer a problem. These are by far my favorite gloves.
These gloves are quite different. Not fragile at all. Easy to put on and they last quite a bit without tears doing all kinds of tasks. Easy to take off as well. They grip well and have proven to be very reliable and durable.
These are not by any means sterile gloves. But for household chores, hard work, or other such things they are very good and will protect your hands well.
