I love this bike! I took right to it the first time I rode it. I actually had a friend to put it together, and from what I saw him doing, I don't know that I could have figured that out myself. But he must have nailed it because it does exactly what it's supposed to do. Although the instruction manual only told parts of the information that it should have. I have questions. It didn't even tell everything I needed to know about how to operate it. This is my first experience with a "e Bike". But I'm figuring it out on my own. Long story short, I'm THRILLED with the performance of this bike. And if I can just get the answers to at least a few of my questions, everything will be perfect. I have rode through just a few of the country back roads near where I live and I'm in the foothills, so there's no mountains, but there are hills. This Bike levels them. It's as if they aren't there at all. I'm so in love with my e Bike, I keep it inside my house, anxiously awaiting my next ride on it. I highly recommend. Definitely worth the money.

Riding the bikes is actually very enjoyable. The bikes have two options either using the pedal assist, which allows for multiple levels of assist from 1-5. Alternatively using a throttle located on the right handlebar, somewhat similar to a motorcycle, which gives full-electric power but no pedal assistance otherwise. Great for going up steep hills, particularly if you are fully stopped and need to get going. With the pedal assist you get a quick "boost" of power shortly after starting to pedal to get you up to speed. As a result, you can often stay in 21st gear without ever changing it, since getting going is actually quite easy. Battery life is surprisingly good, lastly 20+ miles before needing a charge when using the assist of "1" or throttle instead. Charging takes about 3-4 hours to fully charge. The chargers themselves do get quite hot during the charging, so recommend that they sit on something well ventilated and not covered up.
Overall the bike quality is very good considering the cost. My wife (5' 6") enjoyed riding the bikes so much that we purchased one for her as well. She can raise the seat to a comfortable height, and the frame is a good size for her as well. I would recommend the bike for someone upwards of 5' 10" or so, likely not much higher. I am taller (6' 1") and the seat at full height doesn't allow me to fully stretch my legs, and the frame is somewhat smaller than I would prefer. However, power is good, even with my weight (~215lbs).
We have had the bikes for about 3 months now, and going strong. We have taken the bikes on dozens of rides. We now have well over 200 miles on the bikes (they have a built-in odometer that tells you how far you have ridden). I would definitely recommend these to anyone in the market for an e-bike, or even considering a slightly higher-end mountain bike.

Purchased two of these bicycles for my twin sons, who are approximately 5' in height. They had outgrown their previous bicycles, so we were looking for an upgrade. After looking for key features, namely front suspension, 21-speed gears, and disc brakes, the costs of other bikes from several vendors easily exceeded $350. As a result, this had us looking at potentially moving to an e-bike, due to the range and ease of riding. We found these bikes here on Amazon and purchased two for them. Both bikes were shipped to us in a single shipment, but we only received a single bike from FedEx. After reaching out to the Zaplue support team they resolved the issue by confirming that there was a second item to be delivered by FedEx and we received it a few days later. In the end a mistake by FedEx, not Zaplue. Putting together the first bike took approximately 45min, but the instructions were quite easy to follow. Most of the bike is already assembled and only requires installation of the front brakes, front wheel, pedals, seat, and minor items. The tools provided are adequate to get the job done without any additional tools necessary, but some slightly better tools from home may be easier particularly the hex wrenches.
