I almost felt that it was written to include SO MUCH of Annapolis that it was overkill: so many local tidbits and so much local history and so many local locations. But it was a good "whodunit" mystery and an easy read. :)
The character dialog was junior-highish and unbelievable. I don't believe any police detective on a homicide case would behave with so little compassion and still be considered the best on her team.
I also didn't care for the use of market value to depict the character of the Annapolis area. These descriptions seemed to lack consideration of the reader and left the us wondering...or not caring enough to go on.
I hope this author gets himself an editor and has a bit more care for the reader next time out.

It was hard to get a roll going with this book. Just when things got a little exciting or interesting, I'd have to stop because what I read made no sense or the grammar was so bad. Read morePublished on March 7, 2014 by beall1234

I am a local, and a big fan of James Schneider books, I loved this story, a real page turner. However, there was a big edit problem with spelling, grammar and sentence structure. Read morePublished on December 12, 2013 by Cyndi McIntire
