Robert Walker, truly has a masterpiece, his characters are delicately interwoven, into a story that is complete with the heartache of lost love, betrayal, and newly found trust that comes with war and civil war in particular. It reminded me of another great book "Gone With the Wind," and should be placed deeply amidst this genre, holding an important place in the fictional account of our history.
Yet so real did this book seem, I felt as if, I was watching these events as if I had been a fly on the wall.
Kudos to Robert Walker for taking on such a vital part of our history and bringing it to life in such a fabulous way.
