"The best G-Sync Compatible FreeSync monitor for Prime Day 2019" -PCGamer
144Hz Refresh Rate and 1ms Response Time for Ultra Smooth Graphics
Competitive and intense gaming demands one of the best gaming gear to ensure lag-free, smooth gaming. This AOC display features 144Hz refresh rate, effectively 2.4x faster than a standard display. A lower frame rate can make enemies appear to jump from spot to spot on the screen, making them difficult targets to hit. With 144Hz frame rate, you get those critical missing images on the screen which shows enemy movement in ultra smooth motion so you can easily target them. You won't have to put up with input lag and screen tearing with this AOC gaming display.
A 1ms fast response time means you get to enjoy fast-moving actions with worrying about image smearing or ghosting that occurs with slow response time. In other words, you get to experience a lag-free gaming with that desired competitive edge as it should be with this smooth rendering AOC gaming display.

I purchased this monitor on May 11, 2017. (05 / 11 / 2017). Since then (less than 2 months), I have 3 dead pixels.
I understand manufacturing processes aren't perfect, but AOC (whom I have used in my office on many occasions) was entering the premium space. I thought I'd give them a shot, it was a good price. The looks and performance have been exemplary until these pixels, but that is not the worst part.
Since I contacted them late last week, I have received 3 emails.
1. First email consisted of an automated response which is normal.
2. I then spoke with Romeo at Envision Peripherals, which I assume handles AOC's warranty and RMA procedures here in the U.S.
3. Lastly, I received an email from their 'engineering' team which says they will not honor the warranty on this product....
*Because their panel coverage is only for one year.*
Here is the email from a 'Service MANAGER' in engineering.
The ACO panel warranty is 1 year from the purchase date. Per your invoice, this panel is out of 1 year warranty.

Suffice it to say, it may be best that I take it up with Amazon customer service, whom I am hopeful after 14 years of business with me, has the ability to calculate timespans from May 2017 until July 2017.
I am amenable to updating this review should AOC actually provides appropriate support for my issue.
Much better color than my TN panel. This is a 1440p panel and it shows! I brought this to mainly game on. I paired it with a Vega 56. Looks amazing. Averaging 120 fps on high/maxed. The pictures don't do it justice.
*Curved screen is definitely noticeable
*Text is clear and no need to scale for readability
*Great build quality
*IS Vesa 75 compatible. It INCLUDES Vesa standoffs since the back is curved(doesn't include M4 screws though)
*Stand is very well made
*Speakers are loud enough to get by
*Dual display port and HDMI inputs.
*Included quickswitch controller does make it easier to navigate OSD menu once you get the hang of it
*HDR is a mixed bag. I didn't noticed a huge difference in some games. Hellblade looked amazing while Destiny 2, it made the the game look visually worse. Very dark and lacking details.
*The one for all power button is a pita! One button for on/off and menu navigation.
*The included quickswitch control pad buttons are clicky and require a lot of force.
*There IS some black color shift when moving eyes off center from right to left. Definitely nowhere as bad as a TN panel
*There is some motion blur. To be fair, I haven't tried to calibrate and make it less noticeable.
*There is slight black smear(similar to Google pixel 2). I haven't noticed it while gaming though.
All in all, I'm loving the monitor. It's I big upgrade from my 1080p TN panel. While HDR on Windows still needs work, the monitor still shines. The cons with the blur and smear, are all inherent properties of VA panels. The Division 2, Resident Evil 2 2019, Hellblade, Destiny 2 and Insurgency Sandstorm-all look very vibrant and sharp on this monitor. I will never go back to 1080p or a TN panel for that matter. $500 is a steep price and there are a sea of options in this price range and cheaper. I wanted to give the Pixio px277h but couldn't find. msi optix mag271cqr is another one that should be out soon. Definitely do your research. I couldn't wait any longer andade my move which I'm more than happy with! Game on!
So while playing Hellblade during a cut screen, I noticed a dead pixel. It's red and pretty much in the middle off the screen. If it was on the edge, I probably wouldn't mind. Also for the price, I feel like I shouldn't have to settle. Amazon's return policy is great as always and I'll have a replacement this Friday. Stay tuned! - I also tried the HDR settings on Masseffect Andromeda. The picture looked grayish, kinda washed out. Not pretty at all.
I got the replacement monitor today. Apparently I had a faulty panel. Setting the replacement screen side by side, I noticed a big difference in color and vibrance. The original screened looked faded and not as bright. Also the viewing angles didnt distort the colors like the original did. The quickswitch controller functions better too. On the original one I had to press really hard on the up directional button to get it to register. I'll run it through it's paces again to see if anything changes.

- one of the few 1440p 24 inch monitors on the market. Most 1440p monitors start at 27 inches, but if you prefer a monitor with high pixel density like me, this one does the job
- around $200 cheaper than the competition
- great picture quality, brightness and colors
- low input lag and overdrive options are a great plus
- works with Gsync
- pre-configured color profiles for gamers
- very fast shipping with Amazon, as usual and returning items is always a breeze
- quality can be a gamble, some customers have complained that their monitor had backlight bleeding problems, others, just like me, have had stuck or dead pixels
- got a stuck pixel on the first week of use, and Amazon is sending me a replacement, but issue fixed itself in the meantime so I will most likely sell the extra monitor or return it
There's better panels out there to be sure, but this one is a mid tier panel that pairs very nicely with my mid-high tier gaming rig. Coming from a 1080p panel, this is a welcome upgrade in resolution to games like The Wticher 3 and such. Recommend at least some extra research on this panel.
This a great monitor, great resolution and gaming performance is great, but for the life of me i don't know why they put this level of ant-glare coating on it... it's extra grainy like someone put their greasy fingers all over the monitor...... except it cannot be removed. i have a dell which is fairly matte as well and you can hardly tell. it's not like we're gaming in sunlight or anything.... a lighter coating or an option for glossy would make this monitor pretty good (except for colors but i have a 4k ips for that...)
Update: received a replacement after quick return request, and have been very happy. Performance is great, and color out of the box was good enough I didn't bother with calibration.
