144Hz Refresh Rate and 1ms Response Time for Ultra Smooth Graphics
Competitive and intense gaming demands one of the best gaming gear to ensure lag-free, smooth gaming. This AOC display features 144Hz refresh rate, effectively 2.4x faster than a standard display. A lower frame rate can make enemies appear to jump from spot to spot on the screen, making them difficult targets to hit. With 144Hz frame rate, you get those critical missing images on the screen which shows enemy movement in ultra smooth motion so you can easily target them. You won't have to put up with input lag and screen tearing with this AOC gaming display.
A 1ms fast response time means you get to enjoy fast-moving actions with worrying about image smearing or ghosting that occurs with slow response time. In other words, you get to experience a lag-free gaming with that desired competitive edge as it should be with this smooth rendering AOC gaming display.
Adaptive-Sync Technology provides one of the perfect high performance solution for gamers looking for one of the best gaming experience. Adaptive-Sync eliminates any tearing or stuttering by synchronizing the GPU and the monitor so frames are displayed when ready. This also ensures one of the fastest possible frame rates and prevents any laggy and stuttering input from the gaming mouse. Gamers can enjoy one of the smoothest gameplay that gives them the desired competitive edge.
Enhance your gaming experience with the QuickSwitch Controller, which enables you to have fast, effortless access to up to three customized game modes. Choose your preferred brightness, contrast, and essential gaming features and access them when you want. I purchased this monitor on May 11, 2017. (05 / 11 / 2017). Since then (less than 2 months), I have 3 dead pixels.
I understand manufacturing processes aren't perfect, but AOC (whom I have used in my office on many occasions) was entering the premium space. I thought I'd give them a shot, it was a good price. The looks and performance have been exemplary until these pixels, but that is not the worst part.
Since I contacted them late last week, I have received 3 emails.
1. First email consisted of an automated response which is normal.
2. I then spoke with Romeo at Envision Peripherals, which I assume handles AOC's warranty and RMA procedures here in the U.S.
3. Lastly, I received an email from their 'engineering' team which says they will not honor the warranty on this product....
*Because their panel coverage is only for one year.*
Here is the email from a 'Service MANAGER' in engineering.
The ACO panel warranty is 1 year from the purchase date. Per your invoice, this panel is out of 1 year warranty.

Suffice it to say, it may be best that I take it up with Amazon customer service, whom I am hopeful after 14 years of business with me, has the ability to calculate timespans from May 2017 until July 2017.
I am amenable to updating this review should AOC actually provides appropriate support for my issue.
I love this monitor so far and would recommend this if you play a lot of games, especially fast paced games like Doom. That is what it is designed for and it excels at it. As far as the color, I have owned a lot of monitors over the years and I will say that I have not seen a better quality panel than that of an LG IPS for clarity richness and true to life colors. They are the best in my opinion. But I absolutely love this thing and I will put it to the test.
Within 30 days of getting this monitor, I noticed I had a dead pixel on my monitor. If this monitor was only for everyday work and games, I don't think I would have worried TOO much about it....but...
I do a lot of 3d and 2d work at home, and considering solid color backgrounds, having dead pixels near center screen is obnoxious to look at.
Besides that, I would get frequent flickering when playing games (only when loading) with gsync turned on.
With the downsides said, the upsides were great. 100hz out of box, no oc, as well as DP and QHD, on a ultrawide monitor, fantastic. Viewing angles are OKAY, but nothing amazing. Same with color values, but thats what you get with a cheaper VA panel.
I'd recommend the buy, if you can wait, it was on sale for 799 at some point, but I don't know when it will drop down. I just wish QA would check dead pixels better. So I returned it. Still deciding if I want another one.
