165Hz Refresh Rate for Ultra Smooth Graphics
Competitive and intense gaming demands the best gaming gear to ensure lag-free, smooth gaming. This AOC display features 165Hz refresh rate, effectively faster than a standard display. A lower frame rate can make enemies appear to jump from spot to spot on the screen, making them difficult targets to hit. With 165Hz frame rate, you get those critical missing images on the screen which shows enemy movement in ultra smooth motion so you can easily target them. You won't have to put up with input lag and screen tearing with this AOC gaming display.
NVIDIA G-SYNC Technology
A NVIDIA G-SYNC is the revolutionary solution that synchronizes the display’s refresh rates to the GPU in your GeForce GTX-powered PC to eliminate screen tearing and minimizes display stutter and input lag, in order to provide the smoothest, fastest, and visually stunning gaming experience to date. What you get is fluid and responsive gameplay, with objects looking sharper, scenes appearing instantly and more vibrant in visual quality than on any other monitors, so you can enjoy the latest games to the fullest. NVIDIA G-SYNC delivers the smoothest and fastest gaming experience.
Multimedia Connections and Features
AG271QG features Display Port 1.2 and HDMI 1.4 connections, with additional 4 USB 3.0 (1 x fast-charging port). For your audio needs, this monitor comes with two 2-watt speakers and an audio line-in/headphone out. Maximize your experience with 144Hz refresh rate via Display Port cable. Enjoy fast-moving action and dramatic transitions without the annoying effects of ghosting, thanks to the smooth rendering. For gamers, it is important to have the best visibility especially for the dark areas on screen. With AOC’s Shadow Control, gamers can dial-in shadow levels in the On-Screen Display menu to increase contrast for better dark areas without affecting the rest of the screen. AG271QG offers 3 levels to adjust the dark portions.

Top customer reviews
Works as advertised. My gaming system utilizes an nVidia 1080 now - upgraded from a 980 which to be honest - was more than enough for 1080p gaming. If you use Steam you can set your FPS counter on the screen as you play your games, and it regularly peaks at or near 144 fps. Since day one, I've been using DVI connection, so I can't comment on the HDMI or its Display Port abilities.
I use it exclusively for gaming so I can't comment on its use for photo or video editing. I would presume if you're buying a 144Hz monitor, your primary use is gaming, everything else is secondary. With that said, minor adjustments to factory settings make this a general use monitor. There's no harsh color issues and the viewing angles are good for a TFT screen.
The build is solid. The base is sturdy and gives about 4 1/5 inches of height adjustment and 1 1/2 inches up/down swivel on the head mount. No base swivel. Control buttons are easy to access under the right bezel and offer basic/essential selections/adjustments. I've had no need to adjust these settings
What I will tell you is that the default calibration is bad. Mine had a noticeable green tinge to it. I tried using the factor sRGB calibrated mode but while it's colors were better the contrast and brightness were both way, way too high. I ended up using a monitor calibrator to manually fix it and that brought it back down to reasonable levels. It's a good portion of sRGB but not much more. So I wouldn't expect to use this for creative media work, IPS or no.
The other issue is mine has a fair amount of backlight bleed that I only notice when booting (due to solid-black screens). Second the image is up in full I don't notice it anymore.
Aside from that it's a really good monitor. It's smooth, fast, and has good color representation once properly calibrated. Solid options on the IO as well. The headphone stand seems like the kind of thing I wouldn't trust with good headphones, but it's out of the way so you don't notice it.
I had been researching/watching reviews for a while.
Product came Dead on Arrival. I mean... not even a light turned on or a scrambled screen. Nothing.
Tried 5 different outlets
checked every connection a dozen times (power/powerblock/monitor)
Cried and returned.
Is there any QA?
Hopefully you have better luck, I went with Dell S2716DG instead of taking another *possible disappointing* chance.
