This really a great monitor
Only had this monitor for a little over 2 weeks and I now have 2 dead pixels.......Update......... got my replacement and it is flawless it took me awhile to get my 3rd replacement, yes "third" replacement. The color on this monitoris amazing, HDR not quite there yet but works good for what it is. I'm not too keen on HDR for gaming anyways... it works great with my PS4 PRO it will display your console at 4k if you set it or have it on auto. FreeSync works great but you dont really need it, if your running it at the high refresh rate. The OSD sidekick app works great for adjusting your monitor settings. Other then that gaming and watching movies etc. Is awesome.... I just wish the manufacturer would have better quality control producing these.

I'm a bit of a scrub when it comes to PC Gaming, so I can't list out all the technical stuff some can. I can tell you that I'm pretty blown away with how stunning this monitor looks on AC: Odyssey, The Outer Worlds, Destiny 2 and Far Cry 5. It took some fiddling around to get settings, both directly through the monitor app, and windows settings to get it to look great, but it wasn't that hard, taking a dedicated half hour of tweaking. I'm much more than satisfied. I'm impressed with the build quality (more metal, less plastic than I expected - though this does make it a bit heavier than anticipated.) The stand is great, lots of room to raise, lower, twist, tilt until you feel good about it. I do wish there were more instruction regarding the app. It seems - a bit on the amateur side in some respects - a bit overly technical in others. It works, though, but it should be easier. The only other thing I would say was an unexpected issue is the base - it's sturdy - but it's awfully deep and takes up more than expected front-to-back desk space. Minor annoyances to what is (coming from a 4k HDR 49" Samsung TV) the best game viewing/playing experience I've had since I started playing computer games in 1979 (yes, 1979). After a lot of research, and a lot of hemming and hawing, I am happy to say that I'm very pleased with this purchase and recommend this monitor heartily.

Monitor is exceptional for gaming and related functions for high end gaming PC's. Color gamut is better than most uhd TV's. Overall picture quality is particularly impressive in Freesync environments. Would recommend, but only to if your system is high end, if not you wont get the benefits this offers over cheaper options. (Example being my system a 2nd gen Ryzen Treadripper with a Vega 64 running a 12% overclock)

My unit had four specs of dust on it, underneath the screen, the same as another user posted, it also had a stuck pixel in the very upper right of the monitor. The flash-lighting and VA glow were unreal on my unit, overwhelmingly so, it was some of the worst I've observed. Aesthetically, and overall capability wise, the CV27Q is INCREDIBLE, if not for the likely Samsung panel it uses, in my experience, they tend to have issues with uniformity and the aforementioned anomalies, this monitor would be sensational. It does everything you would want and need, if you get lucky and get one without the flaws I referenced, I imagine it would be amazing. Image response times were pretty good for a VA panel, though after using the BenQ EX2780Q, it absolutely obliterates this monitor in every aspect. Gigabyte does a great job of supporting their hardware, my monitor's firmware was 1.08 which shows how dedicated they are to addressing issues. I wish all manufactures would take heed to this level of dedication and devotion to their products. I could have played the panel lottery and sent it back for a replacement, though after using the BenQ, I'm glad I moved on.

Two stuck pixels, odd back light bleeding pattern. The monitor would “restart” every few minutes while playing PUBG which was the deal breaker. Not sure what the issue was exactly but I have played PUBG on five different monitors and this monitor was the only one which exhibited this behavior.

Despite that, this VA panel is beautiful, text is sharper, blacks are deeper, when compared side by side to my MSI MPG341CQR. The MSI is definitely not as bright and tends to washout text when the brightness is increased to compensate. This monitor is both brighter and the blacks are deeper which made playing PUBG easier as the MSI is sometimes too dim for gaming (even with anti blur feature enabled which makes it unplayable).

Did not notice any ghosting/blurring with games and I feel if they iron out the issues mentioned above this will be an excellent gaming monitor. Or just wait for the Fi27q-p later this month.

Monitor is gorgeous. Works as expected using supplied DisplayPort cable.
Base however, is quite large...

Amazingly it also came with a North American and four International power adapter cords.

Definitely not 165Hz, FOV scale is horribly low, I have a pretty high end build, with a nvidia GeForce 2070, and I barley push 120 frames on low. Bought this thinking it was my OG build monitor, but it truly isn’t. Wouldn’t order at all, wouldn’t recommend. Not a horrible monitor by any means, but not as advertised
