I was looking for a secondary camera, which records my motorcycle rides and came across this tiny camera. Absolute worth every penny. Who needs a Go Pro session when Apeman comes with much cheaper alternative.

Pros:
* Comes with external mic, which is very usable for me to record while riding motorcycle
* Comes with many accessories that are of good quality to add to the camera. The camera and the waterproof case are built pretty strong.
* 4K @ 30fps looks pretty good, it's enough for an action camera, with EIS resolution reduced to 2.7
K 30fps but its ok for me.
* Synchronization with mobile using app over WIFI.
* The remote comes with it is awesome, I can click a pic or video while riding motorcycle.

Cons:
Come on! Don't even look for it.
What more can you expect from a $50 cam.

For a relatively long time, I've been thinking about buying an Action Camera. However, since I am a professional wedding and portrait photographer. When I see action cameras priced at premium, I usually invest in a new lens. To have something I can take on the go with children was key.
That's why I went in search of an alternative.

The following features were particularly important to me:

- Image stabilizer

- Waterproof housing

- Self-timer

- 4K capable

- WLAN to get pictures directly to the phone

- Accessories to attach the camera to vehicles

In addition, when choosing an Action Camera, of course, the question arises what do I want to do with it? This is perfect for family outings on the boat and hiking with my family.

Now in detail about the Apeman A79:

The accessories are very extensive. From various mounts to the 2nd battery is really the most what you need it. Only an external charger would have liked me personally, but that is also available separately.

What should be noted is that the SD card must first be formatted. This can be done directly in the camera which is pleasant. I have a 64 GB card in use. This was perfectly recognized and works flawlessly.

The battery cover could, in my view, have a somewhat easier-to-open mechanism with the flap on the device remains. But that is only a minor matter and in my case does not contribute negatively to the evaluation.

The menu of the Apeman can be found numerous settings from the self-timer to the adjustment of the resolution, anti-shake, image settings, etc. Still I have not exhausted all the subtleties here.

In addition, I experimented with my kids in the bathtub with it. But these pictures have lost nothing here. I can only say one thing, the case is definitely waterproof and the camera pretty shock resistant 🙂

I would agree that the battery life with activated WIFI could be a bit longer but at least 2 are included. Aside from that, the rechargeable battery is supposed to be empty quite fast here, too.

My conclusion to the Apeman:

Sure, there are better Action Cameras with better resolution, etc. However, I must say that the price performance ratio of the Apeman is really fine. It's a go to solution for a busy life with kids.

The quality of the pictures as well as the video recordings has completely convinced me for my purposes and I would buy them again at any time.

Great quality 4K action Camera

I have an old action camera and would like to upgrade to some new technology, this camera is an excellent choice. It performs just like my older one, so the learner curve is next to nothing. The Apeman A79, does have additional features as well, slow motion and time lapse and of course 4K video. The camera takes great pictures and the quality is comparable to that of the more expensive action cameras out. There is a little bit of fish eye, but everything I have looked at has some. The colors come out very bright and vibrant. This camera will work with all my existing action camera mounts, also a key selling feature. Looking at the waterproof, case I think it is a better case than my older action camera. I like the ability to use a remote for recording/taking a picture instead of a phone app. Another nice upgrade is the color screen on the back so you can view your video/pictures without a computer. I am very happy with this camera and it is a great one to replace my older one with. Edit: I uploaded a different version of the video, amazon compressed it and it didn't look like it should.

Great budget action camera with a ton of accessories

This is my second Apeman camera. This model improves over the other in several ways. It has a better waterproof case, it is a bit smaller, includes a microphone, and my favorite improvement is the snap-in bracket with mounting screws on the top and bottom. The old mount had to be unscrewed to replace the battery, this one allows you to simply snap the camera out of the housing, change the battery, and snap it securely in place. It comes with several accessories including a waterproof housing, several mounting options, a sturdy clip mount, and lav microphone.

I love this camera. I already use it all the time but I'm most excited to use it underwater. With it is also an underwater protection cover, which is easy to install and remove. The underwater functionality will be put to the test on my next vacation!

Another merit is the useful accessories, it also has an external microphone and a remote control with it.
