Product description
The X-Trooper case is designed with economy in mind while still appealing to a more modern taste. Simple yet elegant is the design philosophy, with a sleek black finish on the front and inside, and an armored look to give it some flair. Few bells-and-whistles are included for those who want something nice, functional, versatile, and affordable. This chassis comes with two USB2.0 ports, two USB3.0 ports, HD Audio sound ports, and an eSATA port on the top along with a power light strip to give it a bit of futuristic touch. Uses screwless drive mounting and has a bottom power supply mount. Window version comes with one 200mm LED fan and four 120mm fans. Also has an option for water cooling. Comes in four varieties: blue, green, red, and windowless*. * The non-window version comes with two 120mm fans and has options for up to six fans.

This is the case my girlfriend chose for her first PC build to get into streaming. The total cost of the build was upward of 1000 dollars. She chose this because she wanted it to look 'cool' while I am personally not a fan of obnoxious cases like the X-Trooper. We looked through many cases that were black/green and this seemed to be the highest quality one without breaking the bank.
The positives: It does look nice; I won't lie. The power button gives a nice feel and I like the placement of the front panel USB ports. The many fans that come with it are also nice.
The negatives: This case is cramped. The opposite side of the case offers barely enough space to thread your PSU cables for neat management while still being able to close that side of the case. The front panels where any optic drives would go kept falling in and are VERY annoying to fix. The manual for the case is absolutely terrible. My BIGGEST gripe with this case is the giant green fan on the left panel. It protrudes inward a ridiculous amount. Like, you can look at the plastic it's mounted on and see that it is raised an inch from the panel unnecessarily. DUE TO THIS you can NOT use a cooler like the Hyper 212 Evo (great cooler highly recommended) with your CPU. Even if you remove the obnoxious green fan, the plastic it is mounted on protrudes enough to still block you from closing the thing. So we had to use the default cooler than came with her i7 4790k. Fine, whatever. There's 4 other fans that came with it. Maybe we can overlook this. Oh, but wait. The PCI-E power cable from the PSU that you plug into the top of your Nvidia GeForce 960? That blocks the obnoxious green fan if you close it all the way! Do you understand? This case is so poorly designed that you can't even really fit a standard GPU into your motherboard without the fan blocking it. She had to leave the bottom of her panel unscrewed so that she could offset it from the actual case so that fan would run.
Anyway, I'm pissed that this case was so poorly designed, please don't buy it. The people that made this put 0 thought into whether or not actual PC parts would fit inside of it.
So it got 2 stars simply because if your parts do manage to fit inside this terrible case, it looks pretty. Otherwise the case is absolute garbage with garbage documentation.
Overall, the case is okay for the price. Cheaply made but still nice. If you are wanting to someday upgrade to a GeForce GTX 1080 w/VR or maybe a Titan video card, you might wanna look for something else.
One important note about the side window fan. This fan will be in the way if you have a large CPU Cooler system. For reference, your cooler must sit at least 1.5 inches away from the side panel, otherwise it will hit. I removed the fan and had to cut off one of the fan mounts on the case window to make sure my CPU Cooler would fit. Doesn't bother me since I have the tools and the cases still looks and performs great without the side fan.
Optical Space: 4 optical drive bays
Hard Drive Space: You can install up to 7 (seven) - 3.5 HDD hard disk drives.
Highly recommend!

That said, when you open it up and go to install your parts, it comes up a little short.
This case is severely lacking in space. The video card I installed has cables coming out the top towards the main fan on the side of the case. I can barely get it closed and can't use that fan because the wires cannot be diverted anywhere away from it. They always rub against it.
The fan on the top of the machine makes somewhat of a grinding noise no matter how tight or loose I've made it.
Inside, overall, it's just really cramped. There isn't anywhere to nicely tuck away wires and they seem to just have to wrap around in weird ways. I was also unable to install my hyper cooler 212. Not even close to enough space again with that giant fan.
Ultimately, if you are using smaller pieces this could work great but if you suspect space is an issue for even a second do not purchase.
