My only complaint is with the built-in powered USB3 hub. It back-feeds power, making my PC a little wonky if I don't unplug it when off. Otherwise, this mount is fantastic.

A good buddy owns an office furniture store where I purchased the desk and anything remotely similar to this piece of EQUIPMENT was pricing in at a nice discount north of $225. So before deciding to order on Amazon I looked at all the dual monitor stands available to PRIME members...with the weight of the product I wanted to cover my shipping in the purchase price. I looked at the various options and I chose this one due to the heavy weight and the vice/mounting device as it would be moving up and down regularly.
I got so much more than I bargained for on this purchase! It is HEAVY Duty and keeps the max sized monitors (twin 27" monitors) locked even with the regular up down movement. One of the benefits on this selection was to have the 4 USB ports on the base. I usually charge my cell phone headset or some other device via the USB port so when I purchased this I was thinking of really only charging items on the desktop. What I did not realize is that this 4 connection USB port is really a 4 port USB POWERED HUB. Meaning the base has it's separate electrical outlet that is sending power to the base...not just drawing from the USB and the CPU. These alone typically cost $25. Also with a stand up sit down desk you do not have to worry about when you raise the desk in stand up setting about pulling the USB cords too far away from the CPU tower. A nice added benefit that did not weigh into my purchase decision. Also the 4 USB ports have the Blue color...so I think they are USB 3.0 but I am not totally sure. Regardless it was an added benefit.
The only drawbacks/shortcomings I have determined at this point are the following:
1) The C - Clamp device for the bottom mount did not include a foam or felt piece for the bottom mount to protect the desk on the bottom side. I purchased a nice wooden desk that I wanted to protect...so I simply cut out a piece of the white foam that the monitors were wrapped in and used that for the bottom mount to protect my desk. There has been NO slippage thus far so not sure if the lack of foam on the bottom was an oversight or an engineering requirement to ensure grippage remained. Regardless the foam works well for me with the piece of mind my desk is protected.
2) I cannot determine whether the USB is FULLY supported 3.0 or just 2.0. It does not charge my iPad 4th Generation but neither does my CPU. It also does not recognize or find my 3.0 USB 2Terrabyte Seagate drive. Relatively irrelevant for my intended needs so this is a stretch on looking for issues.
3) I purchased the max size monitors of 27" so the downside of this is when the monitors are side by side as with my configuration there is NO room to swing them out to bring the screens closer to my eyes. Makes sense so if you want the flexibility to have more rooms on the arms to swing closer to your eyes if Arctic sells another version for 33" monitors you might want to consider that options. For monitors 24" or below you should have plenty of room to bring them closer. Essentially with twin 27" monitors I ran out of real estate to swing the monitors closer.
If you have a stand-up sit down convertible desk this is MUST HAVE. The USB device keeps the wireless Nano device so close to my mouse and keyboard with no range worries or latency. This piece of equipment was the icing on the cake for my new configuration. I highly recommend this solution! Arctic could market this better and perhaps have a video as I TRULY got way more than I bargained for.

Setup was very straightforward and I would highly recommend this monitor arm.

My impression of this product is no different. Amazing quality materials and manufacture make for an exceptionally solid stand, at a very reasonable price.
There are a few things to note if considering this monitor stand.
- Arms cannot be independently adjusted for height. Not an issue if both monitors are identical, but take this into consideration if your monitors are different sizes.
- You need 2-3 inches minimum between the back of the desk and the wall to accommodate the stand. This allows the minimal space required for tightening the clamp on the arms bar for height adjustment. (I haven't tried, but I'm pretty certain you could install the arm bar with the adjustment clamp pointed forward, which might help a bit) ** EDIT: You can turn the arm bar with the clamp forward. This allows for minimal space between the wall and back of desk.
- The system used for mounting the monitors onto the stand is excellent, and makes monitor mounting simple for one person. You mount the included VESA 100 bracket on the monitor, then hook the monitor onto the mount on the arm, then fasten with two screws. Awesome!
- Adjusting the monitor height can be cumbersome after the monitors are mounted, if you don't have full access to the back of your desk.
- Stand comes with a generous supply of mounting screws and spacers to accommodate mounting the VESA brackets to almost any monitor.
- Haven't used the USB ports in the base yet, on a deep desk they are a fair reach to get at, and my laptop/docking station sits right in front of them. I may plug some commonly used cables into them at some point and just leave them plugged in.
- The USB ports are "powered" so you can charge your devices while plugged in, but, you do have to plug in an AC adapter to provide power when your computer is turned off.
- Stand is suitable for up to 2 qty 27" monitors, I have 2 qty 24" monitors mounted and it allows considerable flexibility for monitor positioning. I suspect, but can't be certain without actually trying, depending on the aspect ratio and actual physical dimensions of 27" monitors, the arms may be stretched so wide that some positioning flexibility might be lost. (i.e. having monitors at an angle, it's already a bit tight with my 24" monitors)
- I'm using this stand with my 15.6" laptop, and want the laptop display active as well, With my 24" monitors (32.5 cm physical dimension for height) I am able to position the monitors above the laptop display with the arms mounted at the very top of the support post.
Overall a fantastic dual monitor stand at a great price. Definite value here, and I would recommend to a friend, or anyone else, without hesitation, as long as independent height adjustment isn't critical to their/your needs.
The stand is everything I expected, and am very satisfied with it. I have 2 - 24" widescreen displays and they are solid.
However, the USB Hub ports do not work. I have plugged the USB source cable into 2 different computers, and none of my thumb drives are recognized. I plugged the power adapter into 2 different power sources as well.
It looks like it will be too much of a pain to send this back, so I will just have to bite the bullet and purchase an additional USB 3 Powered Hub.
