3.0 out of 5 stars Almost perfect mount, just not for dual 27 inch monitors
By Bionic Beast on February 19, 2015
Love everything about this stand. The USB ports are convenient, it was easy to setup and just works. My only gripe is I have two 27 inch ASUS PB278Q's on this and the only way they fit nicely is if they are pushed all the way back and perfectly lined up side by side. This is a major issue for me because the way I sit at my desk requires me to angle the monitors inwards. So to do this, I have my left monitor in front of the right monitor and angled so that the inner bezels of each monitor are overlapping (pictures of this attached). So while it does work, its not aesthetically pleasing and I cant get either monitor in the perfect position for me to look at. I am returning this and purchasing two single monitor arm mounts so that I can mount them with ample space to be able to mount this monitors and be able to angle them properly towards me. If you have smaller monitors, this is the ideal stand. I love it except for the arms not being long enough for two 27 inch monitors at an angle.

5.0 out of 5 stars Holds dual 24' monitors with ease.
By B. Johnson on January 2, 2017
Holds dual 24' monitors with ease. Clips keep the cables tidy. Came with a lot of spare hardware for mounting pretty much any display with VESA holes. Assembly went super quick. Adjustments are easy with the included allen wrench, but I wouldn't want to re-adjust this every day. It's more suited to tweaking placement over the course of a few days and leave it.

My only complaint is with the built-in powered USB3 hub. It back-feeds power, making my PC a little wonky if I don't unplug it when off. Otherwise, this mount is fantastic.

5.0 out of 5 stars Must have so much MORE than what I expected!
By RobRealProps on December 4, 2014
I normally do not write reviews...but WOW this piece of EQUIPMENT at a great value, and I refer to it as EQUIPMENT because weighing in at over 10lbs and with the heavy duty vice mounting grip this is made to last. Working from home with my aging eye and back strain I upgraded myself with a stand up sit down convertible desk and also purchased 2 new 27" monitors. I really needed something heavy duty to support my aging requirements...so a high quality dual monitor stand that could withstand the frequent movement of the desk going up and down a couple of times a day was important.

A good buddy owns an office furniture store where I purchased the desk and anything remotely similar to this piece of EQUIPMENT was pricing in at a nice discount north of $225. So before deciding to order on Amazon I looked at all the dual monitor stands available to PRIME members...with the weight of the product I wanted to cover my shipping in the purchase price. I looked at the various options and I chose this one due to the heavy weight and the vice/mounting device as it would be moving up and down regularly.

I got so much more than I bargained for on this purchase! It is HEAVY Duty and keeps the max sized monitors (twin 27" monitors) locked even with the regular up down movement. One of the benefits on this selection was to have the 4 USB ports on the base. I usually charge my cell phone headset or some other device via the USB port so when I purchased this I was thinking of really only charging items on the desktop. What I did not realize is that this 4 connection USB port is really a 4 port USB POWERED HUB. Meaning the base has it's separate electrical outlet that is sending power to the base...not just drawing from the USB and the CPU. These alone typically cost $25. Also with a stand up sit down desk you do not have to worry about when you raise the desk in stand up setting about pulling the USB cords too far away from the CPU tower. A nice added benefit that did not weigh into my purchase decision. Also the 4 USB ports have the Blue color...so I think they are USB 3.0 but I am not totally sure. Regardless it was an added benefit.

The only drawbacks/shortcomings I have determined at this point are the following:

1) The C - Clamp device for the bottom mount did not include a foam or felt piece for the bottom mount to protect the desk on the bottom side. I purchased a nice wooden desk that I wanted to protect...so I simply cut out a piece of the white foam that the monitors were wrapped in and used that for the bottom mount to protect my desk. There has been NO slippage thus far so not sure if the lack of foam on the bottom was an oversight or an engineering requirement to ensure grippage remained. Regardless the foam works well for me with the piece of mind my desk is protected.

2) I cannot determine whether the USB is FULLY supported 3.0 or just 2.0. It does not charge my iPad 4th Generation but neither does my CPU. It also does not recognize or find my 3.0 USB 2Terrabyte Seagate drive. Relatively irrelevant for my intended needs so this is a stretch on looking for issues.

3) I purchased the max size monitors of 27" so the downside of this is when the monitors are side by side as with my configuration there is NO room to swing them out to bring the screens closer to my eyes. Makes sense so if you want the flexibility to have more rooms on the arms to swing closer to your eyes if Arctic sells another version for 33" monitors you might want to consider that options. For monitors 24" or below you should have plenty of room to bring them closer. Essentially with twin 27" monitors I ran out of real estate to swing the monitors closer.

If you have a stand-up sit down convertible desk this is MUST HAVE. The USB device keeps the wireless Nano device so close to my mouse and keyboard with no range worries or latency. This piece of equipment was the icing on the cake for my new configuration. I highly recommend this solution! Arctic could market this better and perhaps have a video as I TRULY got way more than I bargained for.
