About the Author
I reside in Central Florida with the wife and two daughters. After thirty years in engineering, my time is now spent chronicling the adventures of fictitious heroes. They are off-world, fighting the good fight, keeping Man alive. For some it was meant to be their calling. For others... not so much. All however are willing to fight until the end. Flip open one of my books. Tag along as unlikely heroes try to conquer the galaxy or save all humanity. Get aboard as you're either with us or against us. This may be your ticket out of here... at least for a short while. Hope you have a great day!
Using the cliche', "I laughed, I cried," would almost describe me reading this book. I didn't actually cry, but I got a bit choked up at the end. As usual, Stephen Arseneault maintains the perfect balance of humor and drama keeping the story moving forward at a rapid, exciting pace with characters you care about and a story that's plausible and entertaining. I loved this series.
As humanity's luck is running out we attempt to return to earth before the frizzies can get us. We have to hold off the Burrell and the Cressies, and with luck, we barely succeed, but the frizzies are out there and they're coming for us. Does Bax come to the rescue? Where has Bax been anyway? There's an interlude where Tawn and Harris talk about the simple life of just being a recruit. Talk about your corn! So the series ends with Freely getting her biggest desire. Remember what that was?
This complete series has been a wonderful and exciting story. I have read them all and this was a very, very good story. I did not expect this ending. I could not put it down. I have read more Sci-fi then most and this series has been fun to read.
Finished reading the last book in the series very seldom do I buy every book in a series and read them all but this one kept my attention long enough to complete. Overall I can recommend this complete story and the 8 books read fairly fast maybe I can get caught up with my Goodreads challenge goal still need to pick up the pace a little to get there.
I enjoyed the complete series of arms. I thought the last 2 Book were way too drawn out. I just hope if we reach the stars one day that battles that kill hundreds of millions of people really never do exist. Although in the end things seem to work out for them. I am glad this Series is over. But I am sure I will be reading more books by this author.
