About the Author
I reside in Central Florida with the wife and two daughters. After thirty years in engineering, my time is now spent chronicling the adventures of fictitious heroes. They are off-world, fighting the good fight, keeping Man alive. For some it was meant to be their calling. For others... not so much. All however are willing to fight until the end. Flip open one of my books. Tag along as unlikely heroes try to conquer the galaxy or save all humanity. Get aboard as you're either with us or against us. This may be your ticket out of here... at least for a short while. Hope you have a great day!
Can't say the story isn't full of tension. The Denzee and the Hoya are gone so now we have the Burrell and the Frizoid. Seems we never gave the Burrell a chance to be friendly, but Bax sure did start a war against them. Don't even know what the Frizzies are doing. All we're trying to do is stop Bax, but then we have reasons to ally ourselves with her. So Bax wins then she loses then she wins then she loses until I don't know, I guess she wins. Mr Arseneault is getting tired of this story line and making mistakes. He's got Bax setting of a boson bomb but talking to Clift back at Retreat. Forgot no wormholes after the bomb. I like the Burrell. Mistakes happen, but having slaughtered so many of them, I can't see our getting into a treaty with them. Anyway, on to the Skizzies.
The first Stephen Arseneault books I read were the HADRON series, which I loved. After HADRON, I was afraid I was going to be let down by ARMS, but I love ARMS at least as much as HADRON - maybe even a little more. Stephen Arseneault writes with the perfect ratio of humor to drama and is a master at escalating to evermore challenging antagonists while maintaining believe-ability and suspense. In ARMS, he's created another multi-novel story that has kept me entertained and enraptured.
Our two hero's are time and time again tested in their battle to save what is left of the human race . From one deal to another ,the backstabbing and double crosses are plentiful when greed and the lust for power slowly takes its toll on the human population across its many worlds. We can only hope our pair of biomarkers with the help of their trusted group can pull it off in the end and save what's left of the human race from not only the alien threats but worse from our own whose only goal is to rule as supreme doctor and gain wealth at the cost of all humanity
I really like the other books but this one got a little too slow. It almost seems like it was written by someone else to many flip-flops things going from being good guys too bad guys not the way reality is. It appears to me that the author is just dragging this book out instead of being concise and coming to a sensible conclusion.
I am an avid reader of many different genres of books. I always find Stephen Arsenault's books a welcome diversion and buy them as soon as they're published. The only problem though is, I have to wait for the next one to be published. Fun to read!
Stephen Arseneault continues to take readers on these great journeys with excellent characters! I enjoyed the ARMS series and look forward for more from this prolific and fascinating author. Try all his series. I especially liked Knog and his friends from the OMEGA series. Very entertaining! Try them all.
