My first razor's timer stopped working in around 6 months. I did not investigate further, but took it back to the local store where they agreed to exchange it for me. 3 months later the batteries started dying in 3-4 days. This time I looked and discovered the problem.
I wrote to P&G (who owns Art of Shaving)about this issue, but they send me a stock email with how to care for a razor. As you will see there is no email or phone number on their website.
The irony is that my 'free' plastic razor that came with the blades that I bought still works fine even after 5-6 years.
So if you have a lot of money and do not mind throwing $200.00 every 6 months or so (I think it will work fine for that period, although my second replacement did not)then go for it. If not buy (or get it free) the plastic razor for 10 bucks.
The issues were the stainless steel finish at the insert for the blades, and the other one I discovered when inserting the battery - the lock did not fir properly, due to poor finish of the thread.
This product is not worth the 169.00 US$ and should not be in production and offered by the vendor.
