1. PH of no less than 2. Any lower and you dramatically increase the odds of scarring and tissue death (necrosis).
2. No greater than 50%. Studies have shown that the risk of scarring, necrosis, terrible irritation rises dramatically above 50%, but the results aren’t better.
3. Wash your face AND gently wipe it with a cotton ball/pad dipped in rubbing alcohol. This will loosen all the oil/dirt and ensure greater penetrance.
4. Do it at night before bed. This gives your skin the rest of the night to recover and adds the restorative power of sleep to maximize benefits.
5. NEVER do a peel less than 10 days before an event. Even if you are experienced with glycolic acid and do not get redness/scarring, it is a purgative and can bring up new acne quickly.
6. Acne sufferers beware: Glycolic acid is a purgative.
If you suffer from acne, it will bring up all the acne that has not yet broken through to the surface of your skin. In short, you can expect a massive breakout, unless your acne is very well treated and controlled. So, either first get on a good acne regimen for at least 6 weeks or do the peel at a time you have no major event coming up. Salicylic acid peels are MUCH better for acne sufferers.
7. Do NOT peel the flaking skin. Glycolic acid makes your skin peel and flake. If you try to “speed” the process by peeling off the flakes or rubbing harder with your towel, you will take off far more skin than you realize. The result? Scabbing. And it will take a days to weeks to heal. If you’re unlucky, you will scar.
Verdict: Use this very carefully. It is best for skin that is NOT acne-prone. Use it to fade away fine lines, freckles, age spots etc. Never use it the week of a major function or event.

I tried for 5 mins and it did nothing. 20 mins and i was peeling really good about 4 days later. It does burn like hell, but suck it up, it works.
I only tried acid peels from another brand and It was disappointing but I was amazed with the result of this product after 2 uses.
How I used it:
I cleansed my skin. Pat dry. Took a cotton ball and used rubbing alcohol to remove oil from my skin. Took cotton ball with acid and gently patted onto my face, starting with forehead, then cheeks, chin and last my nose. I experienced no discomfort or burning. I left it on for 3 minutes. I immediately washed my face with water/baking soda, pat dry. I used fruit of the earth's aloe Vera facial cream after.
Results: some redness. Next day some peeling occurred. I used it again 2 days after and more peeling occurred. It cleared up my current breakout and I noticed a reduction in pore size.
I plan to continue to use this product to help remove old acne scars. After only 2 uses I am already loving the results. My skin looks clearer!
As other have noted, there was a slight burning. I could not call it painful. More like a moderately irritating stinginess and did t feel not that way all over just in already more sensitive areas.
I did this in the evening. Woke up in the morning and my face was pink like a light sunburn all over. It was not sore, I had no peeling, swelling or damage of any kind. I used mild soap and water to wash, added more lotion and used no makeup . It was pink until I woke up the following day. Same thing -wash gently, apply moisturizer.
By day two I could feel a noticeable difference. My skin was super smooth and soft. Tone was more even and I said I could feel my skin tightening.
I don't have many issue with acne just regular aging and years of sun exposure I'm hoping to minimize. I'm going to alternate this with a salicylic peel from the same company. Love this so much I recommended to my daughter who does have acne and scarring. I'll come back for 5 stars after a few more applications when I see what the longer term results are. Right now Immconvinced I should bathe in it.
I used to do a weekly peel with it, but I found it too irritating, even at 30%. Instead, I add 2-3 drops of glycolic acid to my nighttime moisturizer. I've found that this lesser but more regular application has minimized my acne, softened my skin, and gotten rid of flakes from sebhorreic dermatitis too.
This has been a staple of my skincare routine for years
