Buyer beware. This is a knock off. I have several ASICS 12 XW. These fit narrow like a medium size. After taking a closer look I could tell these were not real ASICS. To bad as I really liked the colors.

My son was a huge asics fan. In August, we bought him this pair. Within a day, stitching on the top came undone. We returned for another pair. Then, yesterday, after only three months, the top opens and his toe can poke through. I will get a picture later but these are very poor quality. It made me wonder if they were legit or just a bad batch. We have never had this issue in many pairs of asics. My son is a college student who is careful with his athletic gear.

If anyone looks back on my history, they would see I don't hand out 1 star ratings. I usually give out 4 or 5 star ratings. I am a nurse and like Asics for the support because I'm on my feet constantly. I saw some people say these were rip-offs and decided to take a chance on these because of the price. THEY BROKE DOWN WITHIN 2 DAYS!!! These shoes were total crap and was a waste of money!! Please please don't buy these shoes!!! I have learned my lesson and going back to the sports store I usually go to and buy them there,

Mediocre workmanship or a knock off

I can't tell if the shoes are slightly used or knock off as others have posted. The box was beat up, the tag was detached and beaten up somewhat. They fit fine but I noticed the shoes were partially laced up in a odd manner. Also, there was noticable threading sticking out which means there will be a tear soon or it was poorly constructed. I don't understand how this was sold under the Asics store.

Great Shoe for Overweight People

I am about 60lbs overweight and have been power-walking on a treadmill for the past few weeks (since Covid 19 began). I bought these shoes to help my sore feet. They were a bit firm (almost snug) when trying to put them on for the first time, but I got used to that. However, I think the fact that they are firm (on the sides only) are why they are so great at keeping my feet comfortable during a workout. I went from very sore and tired feet to having ZERO stress or pain at all in my feet. I ought to know, I have had spinal fusion surgery, plantar fasciitis and pain from flat-feet. With these shoes, none of that! I highly recommend these, especially if you can get them in the $45-$55 range. There is absolutely no reason to spend more money on a walking/running shoe, as this will make you happy.

I've been wearing Asics for years. These just looked too big when they arrived so I held one next to my Asics Gel Ventura 5 bought last year. The new ones are 1/2 an inch longer and when I tried them on, way too big. Sadly the seller charges $5 to return them so buyer beware!

Having wide feet has meant taking half a size larger to accommodate the width but this leaves the toes short from the front of the show.
Seeing the ASICS option for X-Wide, decided to try a true to length pair.

These shows fitted my 10.5 foot length perfectly and the width was similarly perfect.

While trying them on, never felt a shoe fit so perfectly that they did not need walking in - best purchase of shoe ever made! :-)
