My complaints - they don't breathe well at all. I had been wearing New Balance (Men's M750v2 Running Shoe,Grey/Blue,13 4E US) which I loved but they came out with a new version that's ugly as sin.The New Balance had very thin material above the toes and they were awesome and durable for a big man foot. I work all day and my feet sweat and I need a show that breathes. The asics do not do a good job comparatively. Within minutes of putting them on my feet feel hot and by the end of the day they have absorbed the sweat.
Sweaty shoes that don't breathe = smelly shoes in 3-6 months. My New Balance would last me a year, I'm guessing these will only last three months before they start to stink.
The insert isn't great either and has already started to wear after a couple of weeks.
Looks wise these are okay but not great.
So overall they fit very well, they feel great when walking to jogging, but I just wish they had done a better job on the material so they would breathe.
this year's model is just slightly different. Binding a little around the toes. Still the most comfortable shoe for me but I wonder what changed?
About the Fit:
If you notice, right at where a pinky toe would land there is some extra striping and it overlays two other materials. The toe box materials and this striping are all made of more durable material so they are more rigid by design of a trail runner. These two things combined gives a little less flex in the forefoot and I can feel that on the side of my foot unlike the GT2000 which is more like a sock.
