No arch support and they run narrow
on March 2, 2012
I bought these sneakers for short easy runs so that I wouldn't wear out my better sneakers. The shoes look OK and there is decent cushioning in the heel, but there is no arch support at all. There is enough room in the toe area, but the area in the middle runs very narrow. I don't normally order wide sizes, but in this case I wish I had. I have to open the lace area very wide in order to accommodate my foot, and the narrowness of these sneakers makes it look like my foot is exploding out of them.
I am also noticing that my legs, hips and feet feel more tired in these sneakers. It may be just a matter of getting used to them, so I will update if anything changes over the next few weeks. I suppose if you are just looking for sneakers for minimal running and you have a narrow foot, these might work for you. However, if you weigh a bit more than the average runner, I would suggest you look for a sneaker with more support.
