I've only been using this motherboard for a day, and it might be a fine motherboard. My three-star review is out of the frustration I had following installation of the drivers.

When you see the list of drivers and utilities, you might be inclined to select "install all drivers and utilities." However, if you do that, you'll find a Zynga web link on your taskbar. If you delete the link, it comes back when you reboot your computer!

So yeah, just install the drivers and if you've already installed everything, just pull up the list of software on the disc and uninstall. Annoying marketing move that will likely have me looking at other brands in the future.

This is a smaller board but still has the features you need and a good price. USB3, RAID, HDMI, 5.1 Surround, SATA6. This is the second one I have ordered and no problems. The UEFI Bios is almost too simple.

I went from a p8z77-m pro to this motherboard and it was worse in every way. I now went to the asrock z77 fatal1ty professional-m board and everything works.

This motherboard:
Throttles your cpu on load because of the terrible VRMs that overheat. Lookup on online about this issue, it's a very common.

I had to put an extremely loud 80mm fan over them and my cpu still throttled slightly.

2 layer pcb? Are you serious... this thing will snap easily if you wanted it to. This is also bad for shielding, but easier for soldering if you wanted to do that though(Why would you?)

DPC latency spikes because of the realtek NIC. This same problem is also present on the p8z77-m pro motherboard from asus. This is annoying, and it can potentially cause audio drop outs occasionally. It spikes to 2000us(2ms) often.
The asrock fatal1ty board has a Broadcom nic and this issue is not present.

This motherboard shuts OFF when I use sli on my gtx 670's. I put cudaminer on and load both of them, and then 30 seconds later it turns off.
Nothing is overheating, my cpu is a cool 40c, the motherboard temp is 38c(thanks to the 80mm fan), and my gpu's are below 90c.
This does not happen on my p8z77-m pro asus board, or the z77 professional-m board I just upgraded to. Same power supply, same devices.

I upgraded to the fatal1ty board now, and I have no issues. It's crazy how much of a better board that is for 40 dollars. That has a Broadcom nic, so I don't get any DPC latency spikes. It does not throttle my cpu under load, even when overclocking. Has way more voltage options, a much better VRM solution and better VRM heatsinks. Even has a fatal1ty mouseport for overclocking your mouse in Windows 8/8.

When I bought this board I had read reviews about the many people who were victim to the dual channel memory boot loop issue. Even then I decided to try my luck since this board does look awesome and has a lot of bang for the buck (assuming you're lucky and the bang does work). It turns out I was "contemplated" with a faulty board. I gave it two stars since it seems to work (and look) good but for the fact I cannot use my memory sticks in dual channel setups or I'll get a boot loop. After writing a review in another place an ASRock representative told me to send it to them for assistance but since I live in Brazil (I've bought it while in the US) it's not that easy for me. I didn't even know if they'd ship it to Brazil nor I wanted to not have a working PC for so much time (shipping, assistance and shipping back could take months).

Even though I could've had a great experience it didn't happen in my case. Because I don't like to rely on luck I probably won't buy from ASRock again.

Using this motherboard for a HTPC/plex server build. It has been running great over a year now. I bought it because of the price and features i was looking for in a HTPC build. The 2 feature i must have is the xRAM and THX certification. Added 16 GB ram and i disabled the pagefile and set the all temp and IE cache folders to the RAM disk. Saves my little SSD.

Unfortunately, this product reads as sold by Amazon. I would love to blame another party, because my experience with Amazon thus far has been very good.

The product was ordered "New", but when I received it, the CPU socket cover was missing, and there was DRIED THERMAL PASTE on the CPU socket latch. This tells me that the product is used and has been returned.

The return process was simple.
