When you see the list of drivers and utilities, you might be inclined to select "install all drivers and utilities." However, if you do that, you'll find a Zynga web link on your taskbar. If you delete the link, it comes back when you reboot your computer!
So yeah, just install the drivers and if you've already installed everything, just pull up the list of software on the disc and uninstall. Annoying marketing move that will likely have me looking at other brands in the future.
Throttles your cpu on load because of the terrible VRMs that overheat. Lookup on online about this issue, it's a very common.
I had to put an extremely loud 80mm fan over them and my cpu still throttled slightly.
2 layer pcb? Are you serious... this thing will snap easily if you wanted it to. This is also bad for shielding, but easier for soldering if you wanted to do that though(Why would you?)
DPC latency spikes because of the realtek NIC. This same problem is also present on the p8z77-m pro motherboard from asus. This is annoying, and it can potentially cause audio drop outs occasionally. It spikes to 2000us(2ms) often.
The asrock fatal1ty board has a Broadcom nic and this issue is not present.
This motherboard shuts OFF when I use sli on my gtx 670's. I put cudaminer on and load both of them, and then 30 seconds later it turns off.
Nothing is overheating, my cpu is a cool 40c, the motherboard temp is 38c(thanks to the 80mm fan), and my gpu's are below 90c.
This does not happen on my p8z77-m pro asus board, or the z77 professional-m board I just upgraded to. Same power supply, same devices.
I upgraded to the fatal1ty board now, and I have no issues. It's crazy how much of a better board that is for 40 dollars. That has a Broadcom nic, so I don't get any DPC latency spikes. It does not throttle my cpu under load, even when overclocking. Has way more voltage options, a much better VRM solution and better VRM heatsinks. Even has a fatal1ty mouseport for overclocking your mouse in Windows 8/8.Read more ›
Even though I could've had a great experience it didn't happen in my case. Because I don't like to rely on luck I probably won't buy from ASRock again.
The product was ordered "New", but when I received it, the CPU socket cover was missing, and there was DRIED THERMAL PASTE on the CPU socket latch. This tells me that the product is used and has been returned.
The return process was simple.

The one thing I noticed with this board are good onboard graphics
and plenty of RAM. This board offers a lot for the money.
