How customer reviews and ratings work
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

I thought I was going to have a mean machine with this motherboard and the Samsung XP941 SSD. It was supposed to boot with a solid state drive. Well, I never got that far. The ASRock MB wouldn't support my USB wireless mouse/keyboard. I even bought and tried a wired USB mouse and keyboard, which still didn't work. So I could never get past the first installation screen of Win7, which was installed in current computer. The motherboard also showed a USB error (B4). I didn't start building this computer until I accumulated all the necessary equipment to complete the project. By then, the MB was over a month since purchase, so retailer wouldn't accept return. After dealing with ASRock tech service, they gave me a RMA and I sent it to them. I got either a replacement or my original board (I didn't check SNs or really care, I wanted a working board) in less than 2 weeks. Put it together and had same problem. Decided to cut my losses and scrapped the board. Purchased a new board from a different manufacturer that I have used many times in the past, and now have a nice machine. I had to purchase a hard disk drive, since my new board wouldn't boot a SSD. I gave it 2 stars because I think I just got stuck with lemons. This board has good reviews from others, I just wished I could have gotten mine to work.

Solid motherboard and simplistic to use with the newer "k" unlocked Intel processors. Have two running and love them.

Lots of USB 3.0, built-n backup BIOS, good for overclocking, lots of nice I/O. DDR3 dual channel. Nice UEFI BIOS with backup and auto flash update built-in.

My experience with this motherboard is so far frustrating.
Mine did not start, when powered up does not post anything, so figuring out what is wrong with it is almost impossible.
After i press the power button i get a series of quick flashing error/debug codes and then nothing, no beeps and no video output, not even bios.
Looking up help online was also very unfruitful so far, several people are complaining about similar issues, yet no official forum is proposing any solutions.
Many are saying that this board will not support 4th generation CPUs like 4790K out of the box, meaning you will have to flash the bios, however, in my situation i cannot even do that because it does not post, and i do not even get to the bios menu...
Not sure how this board is getting goo reviews, because so far it looks like its a hit or miss.

Great customer service, I had a little trouble setting it up, (my lack of knowledge), they walked me though it. Fast response to my questions.

Still kicking along! I love this board and use the computer every day for internet and gaming. No problems so far after a year.

If you are planning to use Ubuntu don't get this motherboard.
ASMedia devices don't work with Ubuntu 14.04 lts. And ASRock customer support was unhelpful, and unpolite. "Well then just return it", was about the most useful thing that said in the email.
