Nice "Replacement"

When they don't specify what kind of replacement you'll get in their advertisements, you would assume it would be a replacement of the model you ordered. Nope. I was offered a replacement of a Dell and a Lenovo, where the Dell was clearly the better option. I chose the Dell, and they said I would get it in 10 business days. The next day, they told me the Dell was no longer in stock, and asked if "I was interested in the alternative replacement options." There was one option, the Lenovo. This computer is the weirdest laptop I have ever seen in my life. They gave me this:
Lenovo LEGION Y530-15ICH GAMING, Core™ i7-8750H 2.2GHz, 1TB HDD +16GB Intel Optane, 16GB RAM Memory, 15.6"LED (1920x1080), NO Optical, Bluetooth, Webcam, NVIDIA® GTX 1050Ti 4096MB, Backlit Keyboard, Windows 10 RAVEN BLACK
as a replacement for an MSI GV62. It is literally the opposite of every reason I purchased the MSI. The mic and webcam are literally a centimeter from the keyboard (so if you're using your webcam and you type something, all they see are your typing fingers. nice.), the power button looks like your laptop has a belly button, and the power cord looks like a USB. ???

The terms and conditions do not cover 'accidents'. So, when my laptop was dropped and destroyed, it was an 'accident' and they will not pay. Straight from the fine print.
1. Breakdown caused by accidental damage, spilled liquids (unless you purchased a portable electronic product) insect
infestation, misuse, abuse, or intentional physical damage; 13. Damages caused by third-party actions, fire, collision,
vandalism or theft;
Nowhere on this website does it say anything remotely concerning what they WON'T pay. In fact, scroll up and you will see this:
"If we can't repair it - we will replace it"
The laptop is not 6 months old.
DO NOT PURCHASE! This is a scam.

I don't know why everyone is saying this is a scam, that the company isn't replying, or that they won't cover their damages but I had a great experience. NOTE: If you file a claim online you will get an email saying you can call the number, you NEED to call the number in order to continue with the claim! If you don't I don't think anything will happen.

The camera, touchpad, and headphone jack of my laptop all broke within a span of about 2 weeks (weird, I know). I called the number and probably spent ~30 minutes total on the phone with 2 different people to troubleshoot and then file a claim. They quickly determined that this was a hardware failure and sent me a box to ship them my computer. The box arrived 2 days after the phone call. I shipped my computer, and once they received it, the camera/headphone jack were replaced, and the touchpad was repaired. They shipped it back to me within 5 days and I got it 2 days later. In total, the process took 9 days and my computer is working great!

Throughout the entire process you can track the progress of your claim online and they shipped it with tracking so I knew when it would arrive. I would highly recommend this insurance plan.

Purchased College computer from Amazon with 4 year protection plan. Computer screen went bad, sent for repair, they confirmed need repaired and ordered parts, all was fine till then, then parts were ordered three times, it was suggested that I file a claim for a replacement computer, I did, they were to offer replacement options, they did not, rather decided to refund me purchase price less tax and call my 4 year warranty fulfilled! The same computer is available still today, I expected a replacement as advertised and advised. So now I if I purchase the same unit, its now 100.00 more in price plus full tax AGAIN plus no warranty even after purchasing a 4 YEAR warranty. DO NOT BUY
Amazon has lost a customer for LIFE, you can bank on that for the poor customer service, and I mean POOR.

My current laptop is a replacement I got via a previous insurance plan when my backpack fell open suddenly and dumped it onto the street. The insurance plan I got with it gave me a credit for the original purchase price. I used that to buy my current laptop and also added this insurance plan. Recently my current laptop had a hard drive failure but also a cooling fan that made a lot of noise. I called, got a shipping container from the insurance company and within a week I had a repaired laptop.

Insurance plans are important for high ticket items like computer and cameras. The peace of mind is definitely worth it.

I had no trouble setting up my new HP 2021 Flagship. (Basic out-of-the box setup). However, when I called ASURION for assistance with a specific type of software setup that I had on my previous laptop, I was told that ASURION doesn’t support software issues; only things specifically wrong with the PC itself (screens, hardware, etc). So the “24/7 Tech Support” they claim can be misleading. I have no kids in my home, and my laptop doesn’t leave my dining room table. Have never dropped one in my life, nor have I ever spilled anything on one. Always very careful. However, there’s always a first time for everything. And if something goes wrong with any hardware I’ll be covered. If one of the reasons you’re purchasing this protection is for software support, you best look elsewhere. Just wanted to pass this along.

This is the best customer service ever. My laptop trackpad broke. I tried using the website, but they said to use my manufacturer's warranty, but it expired so I just called them up instead. They quickly got my order, took down my problem, and told me they would send a return box for my laptop. The call was only 5 minutes long. In only 2-3 days, the box came and I shipped it out using their label. The laptop arrived to their repair center in 2-3 days. They fixed it that day. And sent back the laptop in 1 day. That is extremely fast! They fixed the problem, customer service was great, and shipping speeds were just so much faster than I expected. I would completely recommend you to buy the warranty, especially because it covers accidental damage protection also and lasts 3-4 years.
