In Nov of 2017 I bought a $900 35" Ultra wide PC monitor for Gaming and Work.It was made by a company called AOC/Envision and I bought it through amazon.The monitor had a 3 year warranty that I was still within but they said no to a defect that they said was only covered for 1 year, even though it wasn't the type of defect that was only covered for 1 year.LUCKILY, back in 2017 I had purchased an Asurion insurance policy with this monitor.I told an Asurion agent in a instant messaging chat window on the Asurion website my problem and she sent me postage in an email. I shipped my product and in 5 days from shipping it I received a text telling me that it was beyond repair and I would be getting a FULL REFUND!Not 2hr later, in an email, there it was, an amazon gift card code for $900I will not be making any big purchases without an Asurion plan going forward. Happy customerDon't buy anything AOC

I consider the very most important factor of any insurance company I'm dealing with is honesty. Over two years into my Asurion policy my large and very heavy all-in-one printer went belly up. I contacted Asurion and gave them what I thought happened to it. They sent me the perfect box, great packing material and a return shipping label to their repair facility. In exactly 10 days UPS delivered my printer to my front porch! How's that for service folks?!! I have purchased many Asurion policies through Amazon in the past and hopefully will purchase many more in the future!!

06/09/22 UPDATE - I was told I had to pay for UPS to pick up my printer, but would be reimbursed once I sent a receipt to Asurion. UPS would not provide a receipt, so have to show I paid on my credit card. That aside, for the second time the printer was not only returned with the SAME problem (paper jamming), but an additional problem - when it DID print, the copies were smeared. I just got off the phone with Amazon Customer Service, who contacted the Asurion. I was told they would get back to me within 48 hours. Will update when I hear from them.
My printer broke a year after the manufacturer's warranty expired, so I used the Asurion plan I purchased. I was sent a prepaid UPS label in order to return the item, however the printer was too large for anyone in the office to bring to UPS so I called them and paid for a pickup. When the printer was returned, not only was it having the same problem (paper continually jamming), now it was making a noise that it hadn't before. I called Asurion immediately and told them they needed to pick this up again and that this time THEY would be responsible for paying for the UPS pick up as the printer was not fixed. They agreed. Of course, when I received the packing materials and called UPS, no pickup was scheduled. When I called Asurion they did not know what I was talking about. The rep told me he had to "request a history" and "escalate" the claim. So now I have to wait two business days for someone to get back to me. Plus their claim of a five-day turnaround is bogus. The problem is that equipment like this breaks easily, the manufacturers do not stand behind their products, and we're at the mercy of idiotic protection plans like these. If anyone has a solution I'd like to hear it.

I purchased the ASURION 4 year Office Equipment Protection Plan to protect my new LG 34GP83 A-B Gaming Monitor. While I have used LG electronics in the past I wanted an extra measure of peace of mine because of the substantial cost of this monitor. The ASURION plan promises to provide no hassle coverage.
Exactly what I was looking for. I hope never to need this protection, but its good to know it's there.
