When I first went to boot it up the diagnostic lights stopped at the second one and it was red according to the users manual it was a CPU problem so I contacted amazon and the guy I dealt with was to say the least very unhelpful I told him I had a bad CPU and needed an exchange well he said he'd have Tech support call me in the morning to help me? Well you guessed it I am still waiting on the call for this I say Same on You Amazon, Considering you Customer service is top notch.
Well back to the story I decided to start trouble shooting it myself I took out the Cpu and booted it and it stopped at the first light so I put the Cpu back in and it stopped at the second light again, So I took out and reseated my Video Card it stopped at the second light again, So I took out all 4 sticks of my memory and started inserting them one at a time this is when I realized you needed to "MAKE SURE" that you also needed to make sure that the end without the clip also needed to click as well to besure that it was seated properly after this it booted and stopped at the last light because it wasn't detecting my boot drive which hadn't been set up yet this I understood. The lights are supposed to be 4 different colors White, Yellow, Orange and Red, but they are all "RED" so that part of the manual was useless. The Lights are as follows #1. CPU #2. RAM #3. Graphics card #4. Boot Drive "UPDATE" your manuals ASUS that's why I only gave it 4 stars.
Other then that I "LOVE" this Motherboard the added features of the Aura Lighting makes it the icing on the cake, the audio is top notched all connections were easy to make except the CPU Fan but that was because of the type of cooler I chose instead of it being the design of the Motherboard, Overall a "GREAT MOTHERBOARD" drivers were easy to get from Asus Website and to install Bios was easy to update as well using a usb stick drive, has plenty of case fan connections as well as usb ports, usb 3.1, M2 Drive capability. as well as lots of extras. I'm not an OC'er but it's a fine motherboard and if your an OC'er I am sure you'll be pleased with this one. I have "NO REGRETS". And the price of $89 I paid made it a real sweet deal.
Some are Windows 7 Pro (4 of them) Windows 7 Ultimate (2 of them) and Windows 8.1 (1 of them)
Some are running regular 1tb hard drives while others are running Western Digital Blue 1tb SSD's,, Some are 64bit while most are 32bit. And all are running AMD FX 6 core processors, and I have never had a motherboard work as flawlessly and well as what this one does.
The booklet is well written and the CD with the drivers is flawless. I have used many motherboards over the years and this one is the BEST!!
Thank you ASUS.
Tons of USB ports
Awesome UEFI Bios
None so far (will update if something pops up)
I decided to build a new PC and was torn between this and a Gigabyte mobo. I decided on this one because of the Asus name and I couldn't be happier. Everything worked great. The Bios were the easiest I have ever used. It has a full GUI interface with mouse support. The board has plenty of usb ports on the back and plenty of headers on the board for more. It also supports faster charging of iPads and my Nexus 7. I put a six core FX processor on it but it supports up to an eight core AMD FX. If you are on a budget and need a good motherboard with plenty of expandability I highly recommend this board.
