Republic of Gamers (ROG) is an ASUS sub-brand dedicated to creating one of the world’s best gaming hardware and software. Formed in 2006, ROG offers a complete line of innovative products known for performance and quality.
Be the first to experience both powerful and silent gaming with the next-gen ASUS DUAL RTX2080-8G. Featuring the new Turing GPU architecture by NVIDIA, compliment the card’s cutting edge graphics with 0dB dust resistant fans, 50% increased cooling, and easy overclocking and monitoring with the intuitive GPU Tweak II software.
- Extreme Cooling with 2.7 slot width to provide 2x the surface area than the previous generation heatsink, allowing for more efficient thermal transfer.
- Protective Backplate features a durable aluminum construction to prevent PCB flex and trace damage.
- Wing-Blade Fans boasts dust-resistance and operates at 0 dB levels when temperatures hit below 55C.
- 1740 MHz GPU boost clock in OC mode for outstanding gaming experience
- GPU Tweak II makes monitoring performance and streaming easier than ever, featuring Game Booster and XSplit Gamecaster, all via an intuitive interface.
Our Wing-blade fan design is cool and quiet with 105% greater static pressure over the heatsink compared to traditional fans. Dust resistance seals the fan's internals from particle ingress to keeps things running smoothly.
0dB technology allows fans to stop spinning when the GPU core temperature remains below 55 Celsius, letting you enjoy light gaming in complete silence. If temps rise, the fans automatically start up again.
We've increased the overall surface area of our cooling array by over 50% compared to last gen. Our latest design gives you a lot more thermal headroom for overclocking. Also, the extra heat dissipation keeps your fans running at lower speeds while you game.
144-Hour Validation Program
Our extensive performance and stress tests begin with the very latest chart-topping titles — like Fortnite, League of Legends, Overwatch and PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds. We also carry out reliability trials that include a 144-hour stability test and a series of 3DMark benchmarking runs to ensure the card performs well when pushed to the limits.
The Dual GeForce RTX 2080's densely packed PCB is reinforced by an aluminum backplate that adds structural rigidity, helping to prevent PCB flex and protect components and trace pathways from damage.
GPU Tweak II
The ASUS GPU Tweak II utility allows you to tweak critical parameters including GPU core clocks, memory frequency, voltage settings, and more with the option to monitor everything in real-time through a customizable on-screen display. From fine-grain performance tuning to advanced fan control, GPU Tweak II has all the tools you need to get the most out of your graphics card.
Precision Automated Manufacturing
All ROG Strix graphics cards are produced using Auto-Extreme Technology, an automated manufacturing process that sets new standards in the industry. Traditionally, soldering of through-hole and surface-mounted components needs to be performed in separate stages. Auto-Extreme Technology allows all soldering to be completed in a single pass, reducing thermal strain on components and avoiding the use of harsh cleaning chemicals. The end result is less environmental impact, lower manufacturing power consumption, and a more reliable product.
Experience silent and powerful gaming with the next-gen ASUS dual RTX 2080 8G. Featuring NVIDIA's new Turing GPU architecture, the card's cutting edge graphics stay frosty with 0Db dust resistant fans for a 50% cooling increase, while overclocking and monitoring is made easy with ASUS’ GPU Tweak II software.

The led light cant be changed, a little long, very cheap plastic feel on my fingers. Despite all this its giving me frames like no other! good job ASUS! Performance 1st luxury 2nd. Its noisy like if someone was mowing the lawn 2 houses down or like a stock intel fan, Just wear headphones guys. Runs a litle hot at 80c
I got it for $700 when it was on sale.

It also runs Battlefield V, or any other game. Without breaking a sweat, in nVidia surround as well. It also is shorter than the Zotac RTX 2080 Amp, which didn't fit in my computer case when I got it. :(
What are the downsides of this card?
Well, if like in my case you have a somewhat-old CPU (5820k, I'm looking at you), you'll have to overclock THAT to keep up with this card. So the downside is, you may have to overclock your other components to keep up with the massive raw power you get here. Insane, right?
Perform as expected.
Note: if the fans don't seem to kick off it's normal it is in silent mode by default and will rely on passive cooling as much as possible. A bit scary when you boot it the first time.
You need to use Asus tool to change the profile to always use active cooling though which is a bit weird.
