Got this for a HTPC build. Installed in a SilverStone GD05 case, with Intel Core I5-2500K CPU, 8 GB Kingston memory, Ocz Agility 4 120GB SSD, and LG BluRay Burner. Windows 7 Home. System is very fast and works great without any problems. ASUS board was easy to configure with the UEFI Bios. Highly recommended for a mATX build.

Used for new build using i5-3570K and 32GB (4 sticks) of PC3-12800 Komputerbay RAM with EVGA GeForce GT 640 to feed a a 2560 x 1600 HP monitor. Two sticks of RAM failed memory tests but after replacement everything works great. Using Samsung 830 256GB SSD as boot drive and two 1TB WD Black HD's in RAID 1 as a data drive. I've built several computers over the years and ASUS MB's always work (never a DOA or other problem) and have very good documentation. I've tried other MB's and keep coming back to ASUS to avoid problems and shortcomings.

This seems like a solid Z77 board for this price and from a big name. I was unfortunate enough to get one with bent LGA socket pins. I was frustrated and started the return process before I wondered if I might be able to fix it. With a magnifying glass and a spudger, I was able to bend the pins back to an acceptable range! I only recommend this for the very steady of hand.

Anyway, I loaded this up with 8GB of 1600 RAM and an i5 3470 and it quickly posted. This is when I did a little dance because of the successful pin repair. Before bothering with an OS, I easily flashed the newest UEFI BIOS, which is quite nice. Pretty good features and a nice layout.

This board posts FAST and loads Windows 8 in a split second (SSD, of course). I built this PC for a friend of mine and she more than once missed the restart process because it happened so fast. Geekbench scores were in the high 12,000's to low 13,000's. Very nice, and similar (or better) scores to my Sandy Bridge i7 machine from a couple years ago and MUCH less money spent on this machine.

Overall, this is a really nice entry level Z77 board. I happened to get one with bent pins, but I don't suspect that this is the norm.

Originally, looking at its less sophisticated CPU phase controls compared to other P8Z77, i dithered between this, the LK one and the AsRock Exm 4.

Now it turns out that it overclocks pretty well after configuring the VRM in bios, with my 3770k hit 4.6 turbo with a slight bump in offset voltage, temp maxed out at 65C under Aida64 testing. Offset voltage overclocking did not end up with ridiculous voltage management.

Sniper 4x4GB 2133 Cas11 overclocked easily to 2200 with a tighter timing 10-11-11-29-2T. Only a tiny bump in voltage is needed. No issue spoted. Both my cpu and ram is not yet pushed to limits

Only drawback is singular PCI3 slot. So get just ONE good video card. If on budget, get 3570k instead, when overclocked and cooled properly, it on par with 3770k

Careful of sata ports, only 2 Sata3. Front usb 3.0 connector for chassis is included which is nice. BSOD reports are very informative

Built a Home Theater pc with this motherboard using my previous turner card. Opened the box, installed motherboard, installed cpu, cooler, memory, and tv tuner. Connected hard drive, remote control, and hdmi cable to tv. Powered the unit up, selected input on tv and have been using it daily ever since. Outstanding performance as far as I am concerned, standard ASUS quality that I have enjoyed for over 20 years. It does everything I expected and does it flawlessly. I would recommend this motherboard to anyone requiring a 1155 socket and the Z77 chipset. If you want to build a gaming pc I would recommend the ASUS Sabertooth motherboard with the Z77 chipset.
