I had some trouble at first when my system wouldn’t post. The DRAM LED was illuminated, so I just powered down the system, reseated my RAM cards, and started back up. The system posted without a problem after that. The only other hiccup I ran into was I needed to install the WiFi driver before to get WiFi up and running. This is kinda silly, as it requires you to have another computer to download the drivers (either LAN or WiFi) in order to get connectivity. Nothing that a Chromebook and thumb drive can’t fix, but it still just seems silly. ASUS should just include those drivers out of the box.
I’m running an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, ASUS TUF 4070Ti, and 32BG of G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo RGB DDR5 RAM on Windows 11. The system works great, and I’m very happy with this motherboard purchase.
Revised version:
It's been several months now, and I've had enough stability issues to start regretting buying this board. It started crashing randomly, usually during games. It was Starfield at first so I chalked it up to the game, but then it did it with Far Cry 6 which NEVER happens, so I knew I had a problem.... These are hard crashes, not just game crashes. It would go to a blank screen, and sometimes not even POST until after removing power and restoring it. After no luck with conventional troubleshooting, I reloaded Windows 11 from scratch. This helped to a point, but it still sometimes crashed. I removed Windows 11 PowerToys after seeing some odd virtual memory usage, and installed Focusrite's driver for the Scarlett Solo and it got considerably more stable for a while - but then hard crashed while I was away from the computer - it wasn't doing anything demanding like a game, it just crashed hard and wouldn't wake up from monitors being asleep, then finally rebooted and went to POST. This broke (corrupted) Windows Search, which makes it impossible to type in the search box or at the start menu or in settings, which kills a lot of Windows' functionality. Troubleshooting Windows Search failed, but I was able to rescue it by doing a rescue upgrade (this is where you install the OS over itself, like doing an upgrade to the same version). All is working well with no issues since, but my confidence in this system is shaken. Knocking down to 3 stars for the headache. I am seriously considering buying another board, which would be OOP since I am past the return window. Sadly, no one but Asus makes a B650E board with 5.1 analog outputs on the back, which are necessary for Logitech Z906 speakers (no, SPDIF doesn't cut it).
Original review:
Once I got everything sorted, it's great. I almost had buyers remorse when my RAM wouldn't POST at EXPO, but it turned out to be the RAM (short story - get the Corsair RAM!), and the motherboard is perfect. IMO this is probably THE board to get for price vs features for an AM5 gaming system. Supports PCIe 5.0 in the GPU slot AND the SSD slot. Note that this is more future proofing than anything tangible today, there are no PCIe 5 GPUs and PCIe 5 SSDs don't offer much real world performance gain over v4 SSDs like the 990 Pro.
You don't need all the PCIe lanes of the x670e chipset (its only advantage) to run one or two SSDs and a GPU, the B650e is perfect for normal people and gamers, save your money.
Flash the BIOS *FIRST* before installing CPU or RAM. There are instructions and videos showing you how to do this. After POST, go into the BIOS, select Q-Fan and tell it to tune the fans. That's about all you need to know for first run. After it works all stock, assuming you bought the Corsair RAM, on your next boot select EXPO in the BIOS and you should be good to go.
DON'T uninstall Sonic Studio, as the Realtek Audio Console relies on it and your EQ and level adjustments will have no effect if you do. Ask me how I know LOL.
For reference, this is the build I am using it for;
Motherboard: ASUS ROG Strix B650E-F Gaming WiFi AM5
GPU: GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 4070 Eagle OC 12G Graphics Card
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 8-Core, 16-Thread
RAM: CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB DDR5 RAM 32GB (2x16GB) 6000MHz
SSD: WD_BLACK 1TB SN850X NVMe Internal Gaming SSD Solid State Drive - Gen4 PCIe, M.2 2280, Up to 7,300 MB/s
Power Supply: Corsair RM1000x Shift Fully Modular ATX Power Supply
CPU Cooler: be quiet! Dark Rock Elite Air CPU Cooler
Not recommended since I'm seeing the same issue with this board amongst the other 1-star reviews.

HOWEVER, one major thing you must consider before buying this motherboard is -
The bottom most PCIE slot and the Nvme slot SHARE THE SAME MOTHERBOARD CHIPSET EXPRESSLANE.
Meaning: you can either use only one of the slots NOT BOTH.
Consider this before buying.
What problems can you face with this?
Not much really.
Lemme give you an example.
Me personally, I am using the PCIE slot for a video capture card and I don't plan on using the Nvme slot.
So if you are a gamer that wants all the storage and maybe wants to stream, this motherboard cannot offer both unless you decide to use another PC for streaming.
It's either use the Nvme slot for storage or use the PCIE slot for other devices.
Other than that, this motherboard is beautiful.
