Asus, this is unacceptable. Your engineering team could have least included a bracket for this card to cool the chips around the processor. What were your thinking? Trying to save a couple of bucks?
-Built in heat detection that keeps the fans off until a warm 55C is present, keeping a idling or a low load rig from making too much noise.
-Overclocking is very possible while being able to keep the card at a safe heat index.
-Graphics card can handle nearly any modern triple A title and then some. Make sure you don't get bottlenecked by your processor, you don't want to hold it back.
-Great price for a higher mid range graphics card with a great cooling system.
-Cooling fans can get quite noisy if the load is heavy. Your typical modern games with an impressive graphics load will usually cause this.(surprise)
-Because it's a mid-range card, this card will have problems with very heavy games graphically, but will usually triumph the game if settings are set a bit lower then max graphical settings(cri ;~;).
Even if this card is a mid-range power graphics card, it competes and will dominate almost any game you have in store for it, and make it look great. The cooling makes sure to keep the card a cool temperature while running intensive loads, however load it gets in the process, all while you get a good looking rig with good looking screens.
I've flashed my bios to the latest version (ROG Strix x470 f Gaming motherboard), I've freshly installed windows 10, and I've downloaded the latest drivers for the video card to no avail. Still the same problem. This card was on the certified list for the ASUS motherboard so I don't think its some compatibility issues where I need to tweak the GPU's settings.
I've contacted ASUS technical support to make sure I'm missing something, but I want to get a replacement at this point and see if replacing the GPU solves my problem. I'm fairly convinced it is just dead at this point. ASUS hasn't got back to me yet and I really don't want to go through amazon to get refunded and buy another one.
planing to sell the card, and get another since the return process is going to take a long time as I live in the MENA region.
never ever thought that the day will come to rate an asus product with one star as I'm an asus loyal customer.
the card died on me after a few weeks, guess it was a faulty one!
RX 580 performs as you would expect, about the same as a 1060. Has plenty of display ports, and outperforms every other version of RX 580 variations. LED's on it are awesome and looks amazing. Fans are used as needed which is extremely cool, turns on when it hits a specific temp. Stays really cool, and didn't even bother to OC because there is hardly any overclocking head room due to it being factory OC'd. If not this specific card, at least the Strix series in general.

Here’s my review regarding the 8gig dual variant from ASU’s
Before driver updates and waterman tuning card runs supa hawt!
*And it takes 150 watts might be an issue for some not for me *
Nice 1080 p gaming performance
Some performance notes:
@Ac origins ~50 plus FPS in very high
~40 on ultra high with dips
@Shadow of war
55 ish FPS on ultra with texture pack dips can be observed watch out
@E sports like Csgo and Dota run above 120 FPS **dota** and you can either go for 300 FPS in Csgo or 220 if u go for graphics
@Skyrim modded with 50 gh worth of mods including enb runs at 45 to 60 FPS dips can be noticed in towns and all
Though there are cheaper option for this chipset from other manufacturers, I can say with experience and certainty that Asus is a far better choice than anyone else making the same thing. The quality and durability are outstanding and superior to anyone else.
I am using graphics card on a Asus TUF Gaming X570-PLUS motherboard with a AMD Ryzen-5 3600 MHz 6-Core processor and Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB DDR4 3200MHz RAM. The PSU is Corsair RM650 (also sold by PC Parts and Solutions). I'm using two hard disks in this. The booting is Western Digital WD Blue SSD 250 GB SATA III and the bulk storage is a standard 1 TB Seagate Baracuda as the secondary. All this is housed in a Corsair Carbide Series CC-9011050-WW cabinet. I'm using Samsung 27 inch Curved LED Backlit Computer Monitor and Redgear Pro Series Wired Gamepad. The keyboard mouse combo is Redgear Manta MT21 Gaming Keyboard. The sound is from F&D F-203G 2.1 Channel Multimedia Speakers System. Everything is bought here on Amazon within days of each other and it is perfectly matched.
Initially there were some problems with mismatched components but the seller PC Parts and Solutions offered great advice and provided the much better suited and totally matched options above. I recommend this graphics card and this seller to anyone interested in building a top-of-the-line gaming computer that will not be outdated anytime soon.
Games Tried (4k resolution | Auto graphics )
Assassins Creed Odessey
it played them really well and graphics was good.
Things to notice:
1. No metal back plate so circuit is exposed
2. No RGB color or any light effect except one white led which confirms if card is receiving power
3. No cable in box
This fan was so unbearably loud, louder than a jet engine, that it removed any immersion from games.
Literally lasted about two hours in my case before I swapped it out.
DO NOT BUY unless you are hearing impaired, or want to be hearing impaired.
- Intuitive software
- Good price:performance ratio
- Runs almost all titles I play at high to max paired with i5-8400
- Nice subtle RGB, easily controlled with software
- Matte black looks gorgeous in my dark-themed case
- Fan doesn't run until it hits a certain load, but that can be easily adjusted in the software (I adjusted it immediately after purchase)
- Can sometimes have spikes or dips in performance (never below 30 fps, but still noticeable). That being said, this doesn't happen very often and isn't a major issue.
- For the price difference, the RX 580 is a slightly better value, as long as you're willing to spend a couple extra $$
ASUS ROG-STRIX-RX570 OC
Intel Core i5-8400
MSI B360M PRO-VDH
8GB G.SKILL Ripjaws V DDR4 2666 MHz
SiliconPower 120GB M.2 SSD (fantastic performance for the price, by the way)
WD Blue 1TB HDD
Corsair VS550 550W PSU
Rosewill Tyrfing Case
It can run most of the games efficiently but I am using it for high quality video editing and it helps me a lot.
Decent Processor Also Required To Get The Full Benifit Of This GPU.
Use Good PSU With Atleast 550W Which Haves The Extra PCI Power Cable, I Recommend Corsair VS550.
You Can Overclock This GPU Also Using The MSI AfterBurner.
The Size Of This GPU Is Little Big, So Please Double Check That Your PC Cabinet Haves The Sufficient Space.
