My only con with this was for me getting the DVI to plug in easily- I don't know if I had bad angles or what but the dvi chord I purchased was also thick at the connecter port so that might have something to do with it.
Got my cable in, works amazingly now. Nvidia, and AMD as far as I know, have bugs that causes the GPU to think it's overheating when running dual monitors, one with 144hz. I have my running at 120hz and I'm still loving it. I highly recommend this product once everything got hooked up properly!
In short: Was sold new monitor with faulty video board which became evident less than a year after purchase. ASUS would not cover shipping to their service center. Have had to pay $100.00 for ASUS to honour warranty. Would not recommend to others.
-Very nice base/stand. You can move it up/down, side to side, and tilt the screen.
-Discrete buttons and lighting, as well as overall design. Could go on an office desk or gaming rig, doesn't produce a lightshow off the screen.
-Meets all the specs, good QC on my unit.
-Slight backlight bleeding at the edges of the screen.
-Being a TN screen, which puts it on the lower end of the quality spectrum
This monitor can be a great value at the right price, but it isn't perfect. If you're looking for top quality images and true colors, you will need to look at a different technology (other than TN).
I did a lot of shopping on amazon and many different gaming monitor websites. This monitor seemed to be the best option due to the price, size, resolution, and refresh rate. I ordered it on Friday, and Amazon said it would be ready to ship in approximately 2-5 weeks. This made me a bit annoyed but I didn't mind waiting. I paid for normal shipping (free) and received the monitor on Monday. 3 days later! Woohoo!
I opened this thing and was like an 8 yr old on Christmas. I was so happy. I have had it for about a week now and there is nothing I do not LOVE about this monitor. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
The one bad thing I would say, is not about the product, it's about the listing that it said it may take a month to 6 weeks to receive it even though I got it 3 days later, which can be deceiving for potential buyers.
This ASUS lasted 3 years and now I have a pixelation line that occasionally is just a line that goes across half my screen, and occasionally makes everything under that line completely illegible and useless. I gave this item a 2 star rating, based on the construction of the monitor being very durable and easy to transport. I've traveled a lot being prior military and the foundation for this monitor is great. The price now no longer equates to the value it gives, and quite honestly I've never seen any monitor show signs of aging until at least 5 years in. I'll be going back to my tried and true brand, Samsung.
