The box it comes in is quite small so I was amazed it was as big as it is. It was delivered very quickly and even the UPS guy was envious of my husbands gift. It comes in quite a few pieces that all fit together well in the box.
As the wife of a mechanic, I never have to assemble anything, thank God, but I wanted to surprise him with these so I gave it a try. Much to my astonishment I was able to follow the easy directions and assemble it myself. All I needed was a size 14 metric wrench and a Phillips screwdriver. When it is all the way raised it is just over 23" tall at the seat. The wheels glide around easily and there are 5 of them so you don't have to worry about tipping over backwards. The wheels are a good quality rubbery plastic, like that on skateboards.Read more ›
The seat is basically a thick rubberized sleeve but surprised me but it isn't firmly connected to the chair. Not a problem so much once assembled, but you have to keep it on there while you're putting it together. Instructions are sparce, but there are few things to figure out. The only confusing thing was that some of the named parts initially appear to be missing at assembly time, but are actually just attached to some of the larger items shipped in the box and need to be removed to install.
The up/down doesn't have a lot of travel but specs as quoted are correct. Just don't expect this to turn into a bar stool.
The 'be careful' item is that this thing isn't a free-wheeling creeper you can slide about. It tends to tip when moving so you have to watch it.
My husband said Snap On or Mac would charge well over a hundred bux for this.
UPDATE: I purchased new wheels from the manufacturer, thinking that surely they upgraded the wheels; alas, no. Those new wheels only lasted about six months before they too failed. This year I got some better wheels from Tractor Supply, with a heavier rating and they seem to be working fine. Short version. Don't buy new wheels from Advanced Tool Design or you'll be shopping for wheels again within six months.

I bought this as a seat to keep at my desk, which is on a tile floor. Perfect adjustable height
and quite comfortable. Kinda forces me to sit up straight, too. Great buy!

I really do like this seat, but like others have mentioned the seat cover rips too easily. It does sit you a bit forward, which is what you want in a creeper seat. Read morePublished 11 months ago by Jordan
Junk. Absolute crap. Bought it for working on the motorcycles. Within a month most of the balls from the casters fell out rendering it largely useless. Read morePublished 13 months ago by Pat
Is great for home use, but not good if you weigh over 190 and use it everyday at work.... Lets just say every part on this chair broke within a year...Published 14 months ago by Kevin
