For those who are pining for the blue-colored DOT 4 brake fluid, ATE is still selling it in Europe. I recently bought some from an Ebay seller in the UK. It doesn't say "DOT 4" on the can, since it does not meet the Dept of Transportation specs, but it's the same stuff that ATE used to sell here in the US. I feel like a rebel when I bleed the brakes with my non-government approved brake fluid!
Other fluids claim slightly higher boil points but are significantly more expensive. Unless you are pushing your fluid to the absolute maximum breaking point, ATE TYP 200 should satisfy your needs.
Nothing more to say about this brake fluid. It's great, not super expensive and I've been using it for years in my STi. Zero issues with boiling. I do find that it needs to be bled right about at the 2 year mark, sometimes a tad sooner if you are doing track days.
This fluid is amber in color, not blue like the old stuff.

I originally had Motul RBF660 but as this ATE fluid is significantly cheaper wanted to see if this would do the job, and it does so using this going forward with regular changes.
Shame they dont still do the blue - that was really handy come change time as you could see exactly when it was fully flushed.
I've used it on track several times and it just doesn't boil. It's a shame ATE were forced to get rid of the Super Blue stuff (thanks America) as it made it easier to do brake fluid changes, but this stuff is identical to it apart from the colour.
After driving around multiple days and also reconfirmed by my wife there is a noticeable improved pedal firmness and the brake responsiveness is greatly improved! These results I’m sure will be amplified when I change all my rotors and pads which are due very soon. Extremely satisfied! I ordered another liter to use in my 2014 civic.
