Top customer reviews
*Image quality: Excellent. Some blurring occurs when zoomed in at 14x, which is to be expected.
*Zoom: 3 - 14x. Works great. You can really reach out and see what is out there. The picture quality is exceptional.
*Night Vision: Green and Black & White. Works well, and the scope includes a small IR flashlight too. I chose to use a brighter third party version of the IR light, but the one included is fine for most people. The NV quality is above expectations for a scope at this price point.
*Still Photography: Works great. Images look good. Some are blurry if you snap them while zoomed in at the max and the scope is not stabilized. All photos include the reticle.
*Video: Same a s still photos. Works fine. Looks better the lower the magnification (expected).
*RAV (Recoil Activated Video): Mediocre. On a 5.56, it does not always activate and when it does the before and after record time do not match the setting that was chosen. For example, if you have it set for RAV at 10 seconds before and 10 seconds after the shot, it may record 3 seconds before and 5 seconds after (provided the recoil actually triggers the recording).
*WiFi: This is a bit weird. You have to turn on the WiFi and then connect your device to the network that the scope broadcasts. This is cool, when it works, but it can be a problem if you have a situation where you want your iPad, Iphone, etc. on a wireless Internet signal, but also connected to the scope for viewing or changing the settings using the app.
*Power: This scope is a battery drainer! It will chew through 4 Energizers in an hour of normal use and less than that if you are recording or streaming to a device. Rechargeable AA batteries last even less time. The best bet is to get a large USB external battery, but that adds weight to your rifle and can be bulky.
*Memory: A micro SD card is required and is not included. Order one when you buy this so that you do not have to wait to play with it until you get one.
*Zeroing in: There are no windage and elevation settings. The only way to zero it is using the auto calibration feature. It works well, but it is not the easiest thing to figure out how to use. Make sure you read up on it before you head to the range.
*Bluetooth: Advertised, but not included.
Overall this is a great product and will serve your purposes well. I love it. I wish it didn't consume as much power as it does.
ATN stick a range finder in there next time and I'll give it a 10 STAR even with the battery issue.
Only CON is: Its a battery drainer. A must have is the ATN Power Weapon kit ( External battery pack ) then you have no worries.
This is the only thing that kept it from getting 5 start.
Pluses-Easy to mount, easy to setup, easy to sight in, IR lights up target very well at 125-150 yds, good photo and video features, appears to hold zero OK.
Minuses-Battery eater (4 AA batteries last about 1 to 1 1/2 hrs, will get the power pack soon), fairly heavy, eye relief is a little close for my liking.
I have had the scope for about 2 months and I am happy with it. The only other person who has shot mine plans to buy one for his AR. Good, fairly inexpensive night vision!
