Those same cables will provide fast charge with a newer PB or the Samsung fast charge wall outlet.
- Charge fully, unplug, and press the button on the side to check charge status (the work 'AUKEY' should light up green, as in the product picture) - nothing.
- Plug a phone in and press the button to begin charging the phone - nothing.
- Press and hold the button to activate the little bonus LED flashlight - nothing.
I enjoy the design of Aukey products, but I've owned a few now and I've found each one to be cheap and unreliable. In the end it seems like Aukey is just another Chinese company with poor standards and no quality control. This item is useless and belongs in the trash. I demand a refund.
The power button is exactly opposite of the charging port, so you inevitably turn it on at the exact moment you are plugging it in to charge. The instructions say not to use the outputs while charging, so I assume there is a risk of damage.
I would prefer the standard 4 led 100/75/50/25 indicator which virtually every other battery bank has to the white/green/red scheme.
A pouch would have been nice, as it helps keep dust out of the ports. Alternatively, a dust cover for the ports.
I've had and still have some slightly less in power that feel nearly twice as heavy. This is far more portable.
Output is high offering a quick charge and it has many protective features to protect the connected devices.
Flashlight offers a useful amount of light output via a single LED.
Charging time is somewhat dependant on what you are using to charge it with but I assume most are using 2-2.1-2.4A so lets say expect around 5 or so hours to recharge this power bank.
My biggest issue is the way in which you tell if it is charged or not. The logo illuminates red, green, white. Each going low to high in that order and green when being charged. White is an indicator of a full charge or that it is at least at 70% or higher. I'd much rather see an actual % because it could easily be you walk out and back into the room to see white but you might only be at 78%, it just leaves you not knowing for sure and I'd prefer a more exact offering.
Love the 24 as opposed to 12 month typical warranty offered by most.
Not a major problem for most but it's one potential negative. Here are the other two negatives (to some people).
This does not auto detect connected devices. You have to press the power button to start charging.
Aukey doesn't like pass through charging and I guess technically it isn't ideal, charging and discharging at the same time, don't do it.
