The AXO Drone is constructed with high quality materials chosen for their weight, strength and value. Optimized plastics are thicker where support and reinforcement are needed and tapered in non-critical areas. A 1-buckle height shin plate wraps across the shin and instep to completely guard the front of the foot. Instep panels are long enough to fit a wider range of calf and leg sizes. A tapered vinyl and foam gaiter wraps the top of the boot offering a barrier which resists dirt from entering. 4 replaceable PU molded buckles float on their bases allowing unrestricted alignment. The durable synthetic boot material resists wear, requires less breaking-in and retains its shape longer. A width sculpted and shaped wrapping toe box incorporates slip resistant shifter ridges. Thick synthetic leather covers the inner side of the boot guarding it from heat and wear. The steel shank adds comfort and support. The sole is attached to the upper using a time-tested welted construction. A stain-resistant mesh lining is combined with durable synthetics providing a non-slip interior.

I did actually go riding with these one day, and it will take a little getting used to changing hears in these. They are still way more comfortable, and way less stiff than other riding boots that I have bought in the past.(from fly)
These are absolutely not waterproof, I can tell just by looking at them, so don't buy them if you want waterproof boots.
The AXO Drone boot is "okay" for the occasional rider who NEVER rides through water or wooded areas where the buckles could be exposed to debris. If you intend to keep your feet dry, PLEASE spend another $60-$100. Reviews from folks who just got them from FedEx, offer you ZERO value. Sorry, but it really doesn't matter that the boots "look good" or "appeared as pictured." $100 is a lot of money to me so I'd like to know if I'm about to put that much money in a waste basket!
FACTS: I've ridden with these boots at least a couple dozen times OVER A YEAR and have gotten them wet every ride, worn them wet until they dried, cleaned & conditioned them after every outing and they're still as stiff as the day I took them out of the box!
I've been riding for over 35 years and if you're just tooling through dry pastures on sunny days, you still better get a couple of pairs...you'll need the extra buckles after your first ones all snap.
Real advice? PASS
Better investment? Gaerne, Forma or Fox IF YOU intend to take safety, comfort, reliability and your riding seriously. If your boots aren't waterproof, they're just not worth having in my humble opinion.
Ride smart and ride safe and I promise you'll ride more often.
WOULD HIGHLY NOT RECOMMEND. Buy some Fly Racing Maverick boots with much better quality for the same price.
The funny thing is that they said we could order new straps from their website but that they are currently out of stock on the top strap. Looks like we aren't the only ones having this problem. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND SUCH A POORLY BUILT PRODUCT TO ANYONE.
Seemed like a good quality product though.
