Mini USB charger port wearing out
Would be five stars because I do enjoy it and the sound is great for the price, but I've had this speaker for about 26 months, and yesterday noticed that the mini USB charger isn't connecting very well. I think the port is wearing out so it's not making good contact any more. I tried two different cables. I was hoping to get more than 2 years out of it, and I will continue to use it as long as I can get it to take a charge, but maybe a more robust charging method would be worth looking into. So far I've managed by moving the charging cable around until the charging light on top goes solid red.Update February 2019. Still managing to get a charge into it. Using a silicone band to keep the USB charger firmly in place. Hard to tell because the band is black, but it's twisted over the top of the USB plug to hold it in place. I'm too stubborn to junk it until it's dead. As to the sound quality, it leans too much toward bass for me these days as I listen to more spoken word, lectures, etc. Too much bass causes some words to sound muffled. Maybe I'm just losing part of my hearing. I guess it might be time to invest in a Bose bluetooth speaker with a wider range of highs.

I purchased this Bluetooth speaker in June 2016 not thinking it would be much of use other than using it in the spa because of the waterproof aspect, however, I have used this more than my Bose Soundlink Mini! It is lighter, waterproof, plenty loud, and the battery is still strong after all this time. I have taken it around the world with me. It is so well made that dropping it as much as I have, it should have been dead a long time ago. The Bluetooth connects very easily with all the phones that I have had. Really, there is nothing bad to say about this item other than when I bought mine, they only had the orange color. I would have loved to have one of the black ones. But that is a personal preference choice and no fault to the product. The price point is still good even after these many years. Thank you AYI for a decent product!!

I bought this while sitting in the parking lot of the grocery store. I saw the reviews and thought ok why not it's cheap enough, seems popular enough.

Overall, I'm extremely impressed. I've owned other Bluetooth speakers before, and usually within 1-2 hours they're completely dead. Or the sound is terrible. This one got its trial run Memorial Day weekend when I had a cookout. Hooked my laptop to I Heart Radio, and set this on my patio while I grilled out. Lasted all day with no problems at all. The sound is quite impressive for a little speaker. You can turn it up pretty loud - I think (and I'm half deaf I think from listening to a ton of loud rock music as a teenager in the late 90s LOL) but it's loud enough that I can have it in my garage and hear it in the house. I tried the call function (up close) and it was perfectly clear calling. The range is iffy - now I'll be clear that my laptop is in my dining room, which is adjacent to my patio, and parallel to my garage - in the garage, it goes about 15 feet through 3 walls with no problem. Patio it goes about 10 feet through a sliding glass door with no problem. I've seen better Bluetooth connections, and I've seen worse. For streaming audio, I think it's impressive, and overall perfect for my application. The only hard part I had was fixing my Surface Book to not "go to sleep" and subsequently disconnect my I Heart Radio connection. Simple controls, easy to use little Bluetooth speaker.

The only thing I WOULD like to see changed is the option to connect two devices at once (phone + laptop would be the icing on the cake for me!). But certainly not a deal breaker.

I havent tested it in wet conditions (ironically, it says on the instructions not to get it near moisture) but it's electronic, so it's probably not going to be submersible. Charges in just under a few hours (haven't really paid attention to it to see exactly how long it takes).

I plan to take it to the lake with me, camping, and whatever else. I would definitely gift it.

This is the perfect, portable, rechargeable, blue tooth speaker! It even comes with a travel bag, a different strap, and a cord for devices without blue tooth. I keep mine in the bathroom, but will take it with me when I travel. It is very sturdy, water resistant, and has a rubber coating to keep it from slipping around. You can also answer phone calls with this. I was told that I sound a little muffled when using it, but I can't see myself using it for that purpose anyways. I can't comment on the battery life, as I just received it. One of the reviewers said his stopped recharging after 3 years, and this SOLD me on this speaker. If this lasts me 3 years for $20, I will be a very happy buyer. Thank you for a quality product at a very reasonable price.

Ill be honest I was not expecting anything that was going to blow me away but this thing is AWESOMEEEE !!! I bought the Blue one it came in today June 28 2016 and I just went and ALSO purchase the Orange one right before writing this review !!!! Pairs up to my iphone 6plus via bluetooth instantly, sound quality is very impressive for a speaker of this size. If you work the EQ on your phone you can tweak the sound depending on what type of music you are playing. The build quality is on point !! It is not often products like this in my opinion hit all the marks but I gave it 5 stars bc this one def did to me. I like the chimes that tell you when connected/disconnected, on/off also the different colored lights that also tell you what is going on with it. The rubber hand strap or hanging strap is even screwed on with a philips head screw. Im telling you the quality of this product is pretty legit. Comes with a charging cord and a phone jack cord for direct connect to your device and a netted carrying case with drawstring. I tested the distance inside my house and i walked off 50 steps and even went into bedrooms so i was behind walls and this speaker continued to Jam !!! It is def worth the buy !!! And its waterproof and allows you to accept phone calls !!! All around great product !!!
