Aardvark follows Josh Norman (Zachary Quinto), a troubled man who has lived in the shadow of his brother Craig (Jon Hamm) for so long he starts seeing that shadow everywhere. A friend and I rented and started watching this movie and not far into the movie lost interest and stopped it. The following day, I watched it out of curiosity to see where the movie would go. Sadly, it was an hour and a half of I'm not really sure what. I didn't understand the plot, if there was one, and when it ended I can only say that was the best part of the move, the fact it was over.

The actors did their jobs well enough. SPOILER ALERT And the story author seems to know something about persecutory psychosis, and the choice of the patient's delusion is above-par interesting. But the human behavior of the non-psychotic individuals is not at all plausible. Not that of the therapist. Not that of the patient's brother. Not that of a woman interested in the patient. As it's not plausible, suspension of belief is impossible and it fails. Epic fail.

This movie made no sense. I like Zachery from American Horror Story. Jenny Slate was so annoying. I thought maybe itwas about split personalities. But it turned out to be something much more boring. It's one of those movies that you wonder why it was even made.

I read the overwhelmingly bad reviews before watching, so I can't complain about time and money wasted. But I really torched that 90 minutes and $3.99. This film is not an entertaining sort of bad. Imagine the terribleness of the dialogue from "The Room", without the endearing comedic qualities. If you are thinking, like I did: Well, I'll watch anything with Jon Hamm. There is not enough Jon Hamm in the film to make it worthwhile. It is mostly Quinto doing a decent job with bad material and Slate looking uncomfortable, like she knew it was garbage.
