Aaron Galvin first learned that he could get away with making up stories at age five. He has continued telling them ever since, despite the fact that he has subsequently learned storytelling can also get one into trouble. He is a conflicted Slytherin/Gryffindor, a known rascal, and sometime ne’er-do-well.
Also, he writes. Daily, sometimes, but mostly nightly.
His love of the paranormal, history, and action led him to write his SALEM’S VENGEANCE trilogy, which takes place nineteen years after the Salem trials ended and has been praised for providing “an eye-opening look into a dark time in colonial history.”
He wrote his debut novel, SALTED, on a challenge from his mother to find a means of making mermaids ‘cool’ for young adult male readers. The fourth book in the ongoing series was recently released, and Aaron plans to remain in the dank, dark world of Selkie slave catchers and dangerous merfolk for quite some time.
In addition to writing books, Aaron was recently named a Top 50 semi-finalist in the Academy of Motion Pictures Nicholl Fellowship competition for the screenplay adaptation of his middle grade novel, THE GRAVE OF LAINEY GRACE. He is also an accomplished actor and has worked in everything from Hollywood blockbusters to starring in dozens of indie films and commercials.
He currently lives in Southern California with his two lovely daughters and an adoring wife, who continues to put up with his antics even though he doesn’t write the kissy-kissy, ‘everyone lived happily ever after’ books of which she much prefers.
